OUR FAVORITE FAUX FLOWERS FOR SPRING & SUMMER

| |

Flowers and greenery always add that special touch to any space you’re decorating. They bring in color, texture, ambiance and help to set the tone for your space, any time of the year. It’s no secret that I often use faux flowers when I decorate our home throughout the seasons. I love fresh flowers too, of course, but decorating becomes so much easier when you have a selection of faux blooms you can always turn to – especially since they last forever.

I’m always rotating our home every season to share ideas that will inspire you – and I’ve amassed quite the collection of artificial flowers through the years. Today, I am sharing may favorite faux flowers for spring and summer, that I always turn to time and time again – from hydrangeas to peonies to orchids – and many more – there are so many stunning faux florals you can choose from and they don’t have to break the bank! I think you’ll love the gorgeous stems I’m sharing with you today.

You can also find many of my favorite items in both my Amazon Shop and LTK Shop â€“ feel free to visit them both for even more ideas and inspiration…enjoy!

SOFT, FAUX SNOWBALL HYDRANGEAS

I have so many faux flowers that I love to use throughout the seasons. These airy, pale green snowball hydrangeas are a staple that I’ve used a few times around our home. Above, I arranged them with these beautiful green hydrangeas to create some variation in my oversized ginger jar. You can see more of these in our summer living room.

Below, I have them styled by themselves in a simple, lush arrangement in our summer kitchen and summer living room.

ELEGANT ORCHID STEMS THAT LOOK REAL

Orchid arrangement in a blue and white planter.

Orchids are one of the most elegant flowers, don’t you think? These beautiful and very realistic faux orchid stems, shown above, are perfect for making your own arrangements with faux moss and floral foam in your favorite container.

DECORATING TIP

It’s easy to make your own orchid arrangement! Simply fill your container of choice with floral foam, leaving space at the top for your faux moss. Make sure it’s snug on the sides. Shape your faux orchid stems, then gently push them into the floral foam. You’ll have to shape the leaves as well. Cover the entire surface area of the foam with your faux moss. Now you have an elegant, timeless orchid arrangement that will last for years.

I created these gorgeous orchid arrangements for spring in our spring entryway, spring kitchen and spring dining room and they are SO realistic.

I loved having these beautiful arrangements styled throughout our home, which created a gorgeous seasonal statement and visual flow from room to room for the season.

CLASSIC, ARTIFICIAL MOSS BALLS

I also love using classic moss balls as a gorgeous and elegant seasonal statement – the perfect compliment to spring and summer decor! Above, I’ve styled varying sizes in my beautiful, large scale pedestal bowl.

Below, in our summer living room, I’ve used them to create visual punctuation on our bookshelves and ottoman for a beautiful verdant pop of summer color.

COLORFUL, FAUX ORANGE STEMS

Speaking of color, here in our spring kitchen, these stunning orange branches add the juiciest pop of color and are just so chic and vibrant in this space.

Beautiful green boxwood topiary balls also add a classic, elegant touch by the sink. Faux artichokes, apples and pears add a lush layer of green on our island as well.

I get a lot of questions about the beautiful rattan footed bowl in our spring kitchen, which was a HomeSense find, but I’ve sourced a few other options for you, from Tuckernuck, Amazon and Walmart.

I think lush peonies add such a beautiful, soft element to any space and they are such a popular flower for summer.

There are many gorgeous options available, these large peony bushes are just gorgeous. I’ve used them in our spring entryway above and in our spring entryway below. This blue and white rug below is a fan favorite too!

Geraniums are a truly beautiful faux flower and these beauties are always gorgeous in a full, lush arrangement – which is how I like to arrange all of my faux flowers – these look like soft, pillowy clouds, don’t you think?

I’ve used geraniums many different times and here they’re pictured in our spring living room (above), spring kitchen and laundry room makeover reveal (both below).

STUNNING FAUX HYDRANGEAS

Blue and green faux hydrangeas arranged in blue and white vases.

These stunning soft blue hydrangeas are so chic and affordable and are gorgeous on their own, or mixed with other colors and florals, like in the above image from our summer entryway. I don’t think any flower is as classic and beautiful as the hydrangea!

Hydrangeas are definitely one of my favorite flowers – real or faux – and they’re so versatile. I use these the most out of all the faux florals in my supply. They look gorgeous in any color and as you know by now, I love to create a large, abundant arrangement that has visual impact and makes a big statement.

As you can see above in our spring living room, a full, luxe faux flower arrangement always punctuates a space beautifully. This stunning arrangement currently resides in our dining room – stay tuned for an upcoming update!

DECORATING TIP

When it comes to arranging your faux flowers, more is more! The fuller the arrangement is, the more luxe it looks. Always use more flowers than you think you need for your arrangements. In the arrangement above I have five dozen hydrangeas!

Below, I have a mix of white hydrangeas and cream hydrangeas styled on our stovetop in our spring kitchen. I love the tone on tone mix. These monogrammed linen tea towels add an elegant touch to our kitchen.

Below, two simple, elegant hydrangea arrangements flank this stunning pagoda mirror in my home office – symmetry is always one of my favorite ways to style a room!

One of my favorite books, Hydrangeas, shown below, is a fabulous resource that explains all the varieties in detail and is so beautiful to peruse and draw inspiration from.
