CHIC AND COLORFUL ENTRYWAY FOR SUMMER
I’m thrilled to be sharing our first summer space with you today, fully styled and set for the season. I will admit – I’ve taken some cues from our summer entryway last year – it’s one of my favorite looks I’ve ever styled in here – as simple as it was. I’ve decided to take that look and build on it for this year’s summer entryway. If you decorate seasonally, you definitely don’t have to reinvent your spaces every year. My job here is to inspire you with new, fresh ideas and show you beautiful and practical ways to do so. I’ve used my own space as my inspiration for this summer’s colorful entryway look – I hope you enjoy reading and love this approach!

A BLUE AND GREEN SUMMER COLOR PALETTE

I’m sure you know by now if you’ve been reading with me for a while, that blue and green is my favorite color combination. This year, I leaned into this chic and colorful palette once again in our entryway and throughout our home, creating a look that feels elegant, effortless and happy.
When it comes to summer decorating, I always find myself drawn to this color palette and I also love to use pieces that feel fresh, bright, and collected.

Our our faux grasscloth wallpaper provides the perfect backdrop in our entryway, bringing texture and color to the space without overwhelming it. This was one of the best additions in our home and I still love it as much today.
I layered in more shades of blue through the snowball hydrangeas, gorgeous coral art prints and ginger jars, while the green pieces add a beautiful contrast and keep everything feeling seasonal and fresh.

One of my favorite things about decorating with color is that you don’t need to overwhelm your space to make an impact. A few thoughtfully chosen items in complementary tones with beautiful pattern can transform the mood of any room and add life and vibrancy.

How stunning are these coral art prints? I love how they coordinate with our chic block print pillows and lead your eye into the rest of our home. The fresh blue is so stunning in here for summer and the graphic style is current and modern. They’re from one of my favorite shops, Halford Prints Co. – I just love them!

SUMMER FLORALS THAT MAKE A STATEMENT

If there’s one thing that instantly says summer to me, it’s hydrangeas. Although I do use them year-round too! As I mentioned above, I took my styling inspiration from last year and created a beautiful, lush arrangement while keeping everything else simply and elegantly styled.

Whether you use fresh flowers from the garden, grocery store stems, or quality faux florals, a large, full arrangement is one of the easiest ways to bring seasonal beauty into your home.

I filled my favorite blue and white vase that you’ll often find in here, with a generous arrangement of green snowball hydrangeas and blue snowball hydrangeas, making it the focal point of our console table. The look is elegant, chic and makes a bold seasonal statement.

The entryway is the first space guests see when they arrive, I love creating a welcoming moment here. These hydrangeas add color, softness, and a touch of casual elegance that feels perfectly suited for summer.

I layered in one of my recent favorite finds, my gold palm candleholders (similar), they’re the most chic accent and I can’t get enough of them! You’ve seen them already styled with our spring and summer bedding and our spring and summer tablescape – they look fabulous anywhere they land.

The rest of the accessories add layers of beautiful color, rich texture and chic pattern – I kept them secondary to the florals, allowing the hydrangeas to really take center stage.
MIXING CLASSIC PIECES WITH SUMMER DECOR

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about seasonal decorating is that you need to purchase entirely new decor each year. In reality, some of the most beautiful homes evolve through layering and editing pieces over time.
Many of the pieces in this space and throughout our home are ones I’ve used before, which is exactly why I encourage decorating your home with a foundation of timeless items you truly love and pieces that have meaning – the double happiness jar that’s styled with the ginger jars was my beautiful Mama’s – it holds so much sentimentality and is one of my absolute favorite pieces.

Our mirror and lantern pendant are staples and have been for years now, I always love using my blue and white pieces and the neutral chairs all work beautifully year-round.

A few thoughtful touches are all you need to create a beautiful welcome in your summer entryway. A show-stopping arrangement, chic pillows (these beauties are old favorites often on repeat!), digital artwork to keep it cost effective and no-fuss accents. In fact, the only new pieces in here are the pretty green box, the blue snowball hydrangeas and the stunning coral prints.
CREATING A WELCOMING FIRSET IMPRESSION

Your entryway sets the tone for the rest of your home. Whether it’s a grand foyer or a small front hall, creating a space that feels inviting is always worth the effort.

I wanted this year’s chic and colorful summer entryway to feel bright, cheerful, and welcoming while still maintaining the classic, timeless style that I love. The combination of color, natural textures, statement florals, and some of my favorite collected pieces creates a look that feels polished without being overly formal.

It’s a reminder that decorating any time of year doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes the most beautiful spaces are created by building upon what you already love and making a few thoughtful updates for freshness. Thank you for reading with me today, I hope you love this chic and colorful entryway look for summer – it brings me so much joy, hopefully it does for you too. xo
