BEAUTIFUL SPRING DINING ROOM WITH A CHIC BLOCK PRINT TABLESCAPE

| |

Today I’m sharing our dining room dressed for spring, with a chic block print tablescape that can work indoors or out, spring or summer. We’ve also added some beautiful new light blue drapes, bringing in some soft color to this space and our home. You know my love for blue is very apparent around here, and I’m thrilled with how the lighter tones feel in this space. I shared this cozy look in our dining room this winter, which was enveloping and gorgeous, but in the end I decided to lighten up the look for the warmer months. To bring look to life, I layered our table with beautiful block prints that add gorgeous color and pattern in here – the perfect tablescape for the season, of course in my favorite blue and green color combination. Come and have a look around, I hope you love it!

BEAUTIFUL SPRING DINING ROOM

Welcome to our dining room – as soon as you enter our home, you’re greeted by open doorways with transoms that lead to our dining room on the left, as well as the main hallway that runs throughout our home, straight ahead.

With this space at the front of our home, I often like to decorate beautifully with a cohesive look that blends with the rest of our home. Since I decorate on a seasonal basis and update pillows or textiles and a few accessories, it’s important that our dining room also gets equal treatment – especially since our home is an open concept.

I don’t make huge changes, sometimes just a simple, seasonal floral arrangement will do. This spring, we chose to update our drapery to these light blue drapes and that alone makes a very big impact in the space.

OUR DRAPERY DETAILS

I love the color of these drapes against our wall color, which is a beautiful gray that sometimes can read as blue in here. This color is Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray and I still love the look as much today as when we first painted in here a few years ago.

My tablescape, layered in chic block prints – which is one of my favorite textiles as many of you know – adds gorgeous pattern to the room. More layers of blue on the table bring an even fresher feeling to the space, while touches of green and layers of gold add depth and contrast.

BEAUTIFUL BLOCK PRINT TABLESCAPE

Our new tablecloth is just gorgeous and it’s my first full-length round tablecloth I’ve ever bought, which I absolutely love. I’ve always wanted to have a skirted table somewhere in our home, they’re classic and so chic – we had them in our home growing up and I still love them today. While this isn’t quite a skirted table, it gives that same look and I love it.

This centerpiece is a very simple one, with eight faux peonies and four boxwood stems, which is just enough to fill my favorite blue and white planter – so easy to make! I used these stems on our front porch not long ago, they’re such a versatile faux stem, either on their own or as filler for an arrangement.

The greenery brings more color to our dining room and plays off of the green plate chargers.

I found the chargers at HomeSense, but these ones are almost the same, just a bit little darker. I also have a blue set and they’re both going to be on repeat this summer, the texture and color of both is a beautiful layer for any table.

Blue and green is such a harmonious color palette as well, it’s by far my favorite and works for any season, but I love these colors the most for spring and summer.

I mixed different napkins together for visual interest, I love to use different patterns, as many of you know. I used these same green block print napkins, napkin rings (similar) and the bamboo flatware on our summer table that I shared last year, as well as last week for Home Style Saturday. They’re entertaining staples I often turn to!

Colorful glassware adds a some punch to my table and to keep things from getting too busy, I used simple wineglasses.

The chic palm candleholders (similar) are my latest favorite find (also from HomeSense) – I used them in my recent spring bedding post – they’re so gorgeous anywhere they land – expect to see them again! They bring a little bit of glamour and regency style to the table, and look gorgeous with the other gold accents.

A beautiful tablescape makes me happy! I love to create thoughtful tables to welcome our guests and make them feel special. Taking a little extra time to create something beautiful always speaks volumes.

Thank you for reading with me today, I hope loved our spring dining room and that you’re inspired to lighten and brighten and add some color and pattern to your home! xo
