TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS KITCHEN: RED, BLUE & CHINOISERIE CHIC!
Welcome to our traditional Christmas kitchen! It feels like Christmas is so close – only 20 days to go – and there is still so much to do! If you’re still getting your decorating done, or if you haven’t started yet, I think you will find some gorgeous inspiration here today. Our kitchen is dressed up for the holidays, in the same theme as our traditional Christmas living room, and our Christmas tree – classic red, blue, plaid, greenery and chinoiserie all mixed in – make sure to check them out for more Christmas ideas. Like most homes, our kitchen is the heartbeat – where everyone comes together to share food, conversation, laughs and most importantly, each other. I love to cook and bake and I love to spend time in our kitchen – especially at Christmas! A chic festive look always adds holiday cheer! I hope you enjoy!

TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS KITCHEN DECOR
Our kitchen is a traditional space and I love to layer in classic elements for the Christmas season. You can visit last year’s Christmas kitchen, which has a similar feel to this as well, but a little more pared back.
I chose to add a little more holiday decor in our kitchen this year, to play up that traditional feeling I was after – I always love a layered, collected look in our home.
The biggest impact in our Christmas kitchen is this chic and very affordable washable rug I found. It brings our entire holiday look together and I love it so much. The vintage feel is exactly what I wanted in this space and it helps to ground the room.
It adds such a chic look paired with our burgundy hydrangeas and red accents throughout our kitchen and our home.
You’ll also find blue ginger jars and ceramic trees along the back wall, my blue and white vases and ginger jar styled with chic greenery, florals and red berries, plaid ribbon as a main accent (also on our tree and throughout our home) and different wreaths around our space.

OUR ISLAND AND RANGE HOOD STYLED FOR CHRISTMAS
Our island is styled in a simple way, with a gorgeous, lush, oversized arrangement and different trays layered together for visual interest. I love our new white scalloped oval tray from Cailini Coastal – it’s such a chic and pretty piece!
If you’ve been reading with me for a while, you know I love full, lush floral arrangements and this holiday, you’ll find them everywhere throughout our Christmas home.
I introduced the burgundy hydrangeas in our home this fall and continued them through to this Christmas. They add a truly chic, luxe look, especially mixed with greenery picks and red berry picks. Having a gorgeous arrangement always makes a big statement and sets the tone in our home for the season.
Our range hood is dressed with the same wreath we used last year, but with this year’s plaid ribbon. Unfortunately, it’s not available anymore, but this plaid ribbon is a close match! Below are some others you can shop as well.

I used some of my favorite blue ginger jars dressed with simple ribbon tied in bows, to flank our stove. You can see I used burgundy satin ribbon tied to our wall sconces as well. It’s such an easy way to add a beautiful, festive touch and it helps to bring the look together.

OUR PLAID CHRISTMAS TREE
Gorgeous, classic red, blue, white and gold in plaid and chinoiserie.
These pretty little preserved boxwood wreaths, also from Cailini Coastal, add the perfect festive touch to our bar stools – I layered in some red satin ribbon to tie them in with the rest of our traditional Christmas kitchen color palette.

OUR SINK AND CABINETS STYLED FOR CHRISTMAS
On our sink wall, you’ll find these same wreaths I’ve used previously for Christmas. What I love about these wreaths is the vibrant, colorful look they bring to our kitchen.
They would be just as pretty in the spring and summer months, or even in the fall – hung with a solid ribbon or simply hung on hooks. They’re festive and chic, no matter the season.
I styled our kitchen sink and window with my blue and white chinoiserie vases topped with simple and elegant topiary balls and our gold rechargeable lamps that are probably one of my favorite purchases ever. I just bought another pair because I love them so much!
Simple, elegant and sophisticated touches sprinkled throughout help to our create the traditional Christmas kitchen look that I wanted.
This sightline from our kitchen into our living room, with a glimpse of our Christmas tree, bookshelves and french doors that lead to our patio is such a pretty one.
You can see how our new rug pulls our traditional Christmas look together.
The good thing about having a smaller home, especially an open concept floor plan, is that you get that cozy, nostalgic Christmas feel no matter where you are – each space is visible throughout.
That’s a wrap on our traditional Christmas kitchen. I hope you enjoyed touring with me and looking at the details, and I also hope you’re inspired! Our Christmas entryway and dining room will be coming next, stay tuned for more! xo
Thank you very much, so glad you like it! Happy Holidays to you too! xox
