BEAUTIFUL + SIMPLE SPRING KITCHEN DECOR THAT’S CLASSIC AND FRESH!
Hello everyone! It’s been quite a while since I’ve shared a post with you – it’s been a very hectic couple of months in our home and it has been non-stop, due to an unexpected family matter that needed my full attention. I promised to share our kitchen a while ago, and well…I’m a little late! So today, without further ado, I’m finally sharing my beautiful and simple spring kitchen decor with you…before summer gets here!
Did you get a chance to see our spring entryway and spring living room? They were so much fun to style and we love the fresh and airy feel in our spring home this season.
I also owe you a hallway makeover update – I haven’t forgotten! Our custom oushak runner arrived last week and it is so amazing. I can’t wait to complete our space and share with you as well.

SIMPLE SPRING KITCHEN DECOR
I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve shared a post with you and I think this is the longest break I’ve ever taken from my work.
I hope to get back to my regular schedule, but in the meantime, I’ll do my best to post when I can…life just seemed to happen over here!
Let’s get to it – please come on into our kitchen and have a look around!
There’s no surprises here, just some simple spring kitchen decor and styling, using my favorite blues.
You’ll find gorgeous blue and white ginger jars as usual, my solid ginger jars are always a staple, and I continued with my beautiful light blue faux hydrangeas that you’ve seen in our spring living room and spring entryway.
They are the prettiest shade of blue! I may keep them around for summer as well, they’re just too pretty to put away.
Our island is dressed up with the prettiest scalloped marble trays – the large one is a lazy susan that I scored from HomeSense for a steal. I’ve linked similar ones down below.
I love to use natural and woven textures throughout my decor, for a more casual feel, and this beautiful pitcher (shop similar) is the perfect touch with our simple spring kitchen decor.
It’s the perfect accent with our Chinese Chippendale bar stools and also compliments my champagne bucket with its woven handle.
DECORATING AROUND THE SINK + NEW WALL SCONCES!
Over by our sink and window, I styled this space with more of my favorite blue ginger jars flanking the sink, and blue and white accents to keep the look continuous throughout our space.
I always love to layer pretty tea towels around our kitchen as well – they’re functional and beautiful and always add a personal signature.
Can you spot anything new in the below shot? We finally installed these gorgeous brass wall sconces and we just LOVE them.
They’re the perfect compliment for the rest of our kitchen lighting, and they add a classic, chic touch to this space.
DO YOU WANT TO INSTALL WALL SCONCES BUT DON’T HAVE HARDWIRING? HERE IS THE PERFECT SOLUTION!
- Use battery operated remote control lightbulbs with your sconces and you can have wall sconces anywhere in your home.
- We used these under cabinet lights for our wall sconces for now, since the tiled wall makes it tricky to install hardwiring.
You can still have gorgeous wall sconces anywhere in your home, simply by using battery operated remote control lightbulbs!
Aren’t these brass wall sconces just so pretty?
We bought another pair for our dining room and I can’t wait to get them installed too.
DECORATING OPEN KITCHEN SHELVES FOR SPRING
HOW TO DECORATE OPEN KITCHEN SHELVES:
- Use symmetry to create a classic display on your open shelves that’s pleasing to the eye.
- Find pretty jars to use as canisters – these are simple apothecary jars that I recently swapped out for a different style.
- Style your shelves with things you truly love – my Mama’s Royal Copenhagen blue and white platter is my favorite piece here.
- Use items you’d decorate your living room with – I brought in a pair blue and white chinoiserie vases that I use all over our home. I needed two taller pieces to flank my white soup tureen and I love them here.
- Add touches of silver for a vintage feel – trays, champagne buckets, any beautiful heirloom piece always adds character.
- Use elegant pieces for an elevated look – footed bowls and cake stands and a collection of white and glass ceramics, for example.
- Keep your colors to a minimum with a cohesive palette.
Our kitchen is getting old and needs some paint touch ups and a few fixes here and there, that you don’t see.
This space has gotten a ton of wear and tear…one day I’d love to replace these shelves with counter to ceiling glass cabinets…one of my big dreams, among many others, ha!
For now, I make the best of it and style these open shelves with some of my favorite pieces.
Our simple spring kitchen decor is light and airy with a classic elegance that I always strive for with my decor.

Hi Marion! So glad you love it!! Here is the name of the lights, maybe you can’t view it since the link is Amazon Canada? Hope this helps!
Starxing Wireless Led Puck Lights Battery Operated
Hey Tamara!! What a gorgeous spring kitchen! I love it all!
I never thought of battery operated light sconces…when I click the link it takes me to a general Amazon page and not the link to the light that you used. Can you give me a written description so that I can copy it into the search area?
Thank you so much.
