DARK, NARROW HALLWAY: OUR MAKEOVER PLAN!

Our hallway is dark and narrow, made up of mostly doors, with a very awkward thermostat placed smack in the middle of the only wall for hanging pictures. This space is kind of nice, but not great, and with a few small updates, I plan to make our dark, narrow hallway makeover a total showstopper!

There is some truly great potential in our hallway, and I plan to lighten, brighten and add a few key pieces to ‘up the chic factor’ and elevate this space to its fullest potential.

Keep on reading for design my plan and to see the gorgeous pieces I’ll be using in here!

OUR CURRENT HALLWAY SITUATION

You can see from the photo above, our hallway leaves very little to be desired. Dark, narrow and mostly doors as I mentioned above, there is very little visual interest happening (ignore the bunny toys to the left, ha!).

Oh, but that is all coming to an end! I plan to create a gorgeous space that’s stylish, chic and sophisticated.

Can you also see the sneak peek in the photo above?! Our home office reveal is coming later this week! I’m shooting it all and will be posting by the weekend, so sit tight – just a couple more days!

HOW DO YOU LIGHTEN A DARK, NARROW HALLWAY?

There are many things you can do to update a dark, narrow hallway and with just a few key items, it’s very simple to elevate the look of an otherwise boring space.

Here are some simple tips and our to-do list, that will surely bring our dark, narrow hallway into the light!

We’ll be installing the moldings and painting in the coming weeks and that alone will create the most impact.

We’ll be receiving our new light very soon as well, which will get installed along with some new recessed lighting – adding additional light will really help brighten things up.

I’m framing some favorite family photos to finally hang up where we can see them – we have very little wall space in our home, so I will be taking advantage in here!

Our custom oushak runner will take about another 5 or 6 weeks, so once that arrives, this space will be ready to share!

Stay tuned for all of our updates and of course, my spring inspiration and decor posts all coming soon! xo
