OUR FAVORITE POSTS OF 2019

|

Happy New Year! It always amazes me how fast a year goes by, and looking back at all of the projects and seasonal decorating we’ve tackled is always one of my favorite things to do. It’s so fun to share posts from the past year, so here is a look at our favorite posts of 2019! Last year was a little more quiet for me than usual, with fewer posts than usual. With a very difficult year personally, my blog took a little bit of a backseat, but with a new yer ahead, I’m really looking forward to everything that’s coming! I have some fun projects coming up in the next little while and I’m so excited to share them here with you! For now, I hope you enjoy looking back as much as I do!

FAVORITE POSTS OF 2019!

2019 started out with a bang for me, and one of the highlights of the year was our BHG photoshoot last January. It was for their Christmas Ideas magazine, which came out this past October and I must say, it was quite an honor to be featured alongside some very prominent and extremely talented bloggers and influencers. You can read all about this post here: BHG SHOOT BEHIND THE SCENES! and if you’d like to see some of the results of that shoot, you might also like this post here, where I share my big feature… What an incredible experience it was for me!

This next project was such a fun and satisfying one to tackle! I always love the challenge of an easy fix on a budget, and with lots of purging, cleaning and organizing, our kitchen drawers have never looked so good! You can read all about this favorite post here: ORGANIZED KITCHEN DRAWERS – which also happens to be a huge hit on Pinterest too – it’s one of my top posts over there (click here to follow me!)!

Before the kitchen project, came the challenge of all challenges, our LINEN CLOSET MAKEOVER – and what a challenge it was! I rolled up my sleeves and tackled this very long overdue closet project that was spiralling out of control! I’m very proud to say we’ve kept it exactly the same – clean and organized and it still houses only the necessities. It’s amazing when you truly cut back, how you learn to live with only what you need. I have a lot more of that to do in the rest of our storage spaces!

When Spring came last year, so did our new brass lighting in our living room. It was such a welcome change and the brass was the perfect  finishing touch in our home. I had been slowly transitioning all of our lighting to brass and our new, elegant and tailored chandeliers and wall sconces were the perfect touch, especially with our new white sofas, which completely transformed our living room. This was one of my favorite posts last year! Read more about it here: SPRING LIVING ROOM + NEW LIGHTING.

Another living room post and another favorite of mine, was our SUMMER LIVING ROOM TOUR – I amped up all the coastal vibes with loads of soft blues, stripes and coral accessories. This is hands-down my favorite look and if I lived in warmer temps and near the water, I would have a difficult time switching this up each season!

What I love about the next two posts is the transformation of these rooms, one with a little more elbow grease than the other, but both included major purging, which is always the best therapy! With OUR SON’S BEDROOM MAKEOVER, all it took was mostly cleaning out the clutter, adding new lighting and bedding and a really cool DIY wall frame for his American flag, something my hubby whipped together pretty quick and inexpensively. I loved this transformation so much!

Lastly, OUR DAUGHTER’S BEDROOM MAKEOVER was another favorite – this room has seen the most transformations in our home, and this one is by far the best – and the last for a long time! Our daughter got a more grown up space, which will last for years. We painted, and purged like crazy – she had sooooo much stuff! I still have this room’s closet makeover in the works that I had promised to tackle when we first redid this room…it will be coming soon! No better time to organize than a new year! Stay tuned!

Thank you as always for reading and following along with me. Thank you for your loyalty and your continued support! It truly means everything. I hope to continue to inspire you this year, and I can’t wait to bring you more of what you love. Happy New Year! xox
