CHIC SPRING ENTRYWAY DECOR: CHINOISERIE, FLORALS AND COASTAL ACCENTS
Happy March! Spring is so close! The weather is getting more mild here and this is when I get very excited for warmer days ahead. Welcome to our chic spring entryway – you may have seen a preview of our spring decorating this season in my spring inspiration post. I’ve also shared our preppy-chic spring bedroom and most recently, our spring living room bathed in blue and white, pops of yellow, gorgeous block prints and coastal touches. If you’re looking for ideas and decorating inspiration, you’ll love all of these posts, I promise. Today, I’m so happy to be sharing this chic, elegant and simple approach to spring decorating in our entryway. You can never go wrong with a beautiful floral arrangement as your focal point, chinoiserie, a few pops of gorgeous color and chic accessories styled with sophistication.

CHIC SPRING ENTRYWAY DECOR
As you enter our home, you get a full view of the main living areas since we have an open concept home. Our dining room is to your immediate left and our living room is straight ahead.
This year, our spring home is layered with mostly blue and white (my favorite color palette as many of you already know) with sunny touches of yellow in our living room.
I chose to stick to all blue and white here in our entryway, with a focus on beautiful shapes and motifs, patterns and textures.
I was recently given these stunning oversized blue and white vases you see here by the doorway – they are absolutely fabulous pieces that make the most elegant, chic statement. Their unique shape and features are so special and they’re truly so beautiful.

Phillipe mirror | Rug | Console table | Wallpaper | Pendant light | Design book | Brass + glass door knob | Brass door handle | Chair | Grandmillennial pillow | Gold Frames | Heron digital prints | Crystal candlesticks | Decorative knot | Conch shell | Decorative shell | Coral sculpture | Blue and white double happiness jar | Faux geraniums | Scalloped tray | Blue decorative box | Scalloped boxes | Tall blue and white vase | Blue decorative books
Many of the pieces you see here are either items I’ve collected through the years or have been given to me.
My latest finds – this very chic, rattan scalloped tray (similar) and scalloped boxes (similar), were HomeSense purchases – I love the pretty, feminine flair they lend to all of the other sculptural, graphic pieces on our console table. It’s a truly gorgeous mix.
DECORATING TIP
Style a console table with chic accessories that you love! Keep your colors similar and focus on shape and texture. Notice the repetition I’ve used here – shell and coral motifs, scalloped and rounded shapes that all play off of each other. A few blue accents in the mix provide a visual break from all the whites and neutrals.
The gorgeous Grandmillennial pillow covers are from our Christmas living room, but they are equally gorgeous for spring and summer. The pretty, feminine blue pattern draws your eye into the hallway area and up to the artwork.
I’ve been talking about heron prints for a while now, and these digital download prints are perfect here. If you prefer something already printed, these gorgeous prints come already framed as well.
I always love to use faux florals – they last forever and can be used from season to season. I’ve had these faux geraniums forever! They always make a beautiful statement.
The classic double happiness jar was my beautiful Mama’s – it holds a very special place in my heart. It’s the perfect vessel to create a very chic arrangement and it’s so chic anywhere I use it.
I love how all of the pattern and texture are working together here – notice the strategic use of blue from one area to the next. It creates visual balance and helps to draw your eye around each space.
Color is a a powerful decorating tool! Even though blue is my favorite color and threaded throughout our home you can use this strategy with any color you like – it can coordinate or contrast your decor. You can visit our previous colorful entryway where pops of red and orange were so chic in here!
Thank you for reading with me today, I always love to have you here and hope to inspire you and give you fresh ideas that will help you create a home you love! xo
