CHIC & PRETTY SPRING KITCHEN DECORATING IDEAS!
Welcome to our spring kitchen! There are a lot of new things that have been layered into this room and the changes are refreshing, so chic – and perfect for spring. Earlier this year, I shared a peek into this space that featured some of the new pieces you see today – our gorgeous, preppy and chic roman shades, a pair of blue and white lamps and a beautiful blue tea kettle – which I am so in love with. I’ve layered in a chic new rug that brightens up our kitchen, some gorgeous, colorful ginger jars that coordinate with our spring living room and a lush geranium arrangement that echoes our spring entryway. Simple and easy updates that help to bring our kitchen into a new season. I love to explore new ways to bring color and pattern into our home – I hope you enjoy these spring kitchen decorating ideas!

SPRING KITCHEN IDEAS – A CHIC, BRIGHT RUG
It’s no secret -I often change the rugs in our kitchen and throughout our home. I recently shared some mid-winter rug options that were gorgeous in our home.
I decided for spring, we needed a pretty pop of chic color and pattern in here and this inexpensive washable rug is the perfect piece for the season.
It adds just the right amount of gorgeous pattern and color and brings some happiness to our spring kitchen. Rugs are such an easy way to make a significant change and they don’t have to be expensive at all.

You may have already seen these new roman shades on Instagram, but today they’re making their official debut here on CL Blog!
Again, wanting to layer in some chic color and pattern (yes, it’s a theme around here!) to brighten things up and our new gorgeous, roman shades are the perfect layer of preppy chic in our kitchen.
You know how I love my blues and seeing layers of color throughout each space in our home brings me so much joy and peace.
It’s truly incredible how transformative the power of color and pattern can be. This shot above is the perfect example of that, as it captures all of the spring kitchen decorating ideas I was hoping to create in here and share with you today.
A COLORFUL KETTLE, PLEATED SHADES & LAMPS
Something as simple as a colorful tea kettle can add just the right amount of color in your kitchen. I love how it brightens up our stovetop in ours. The ginger jars and tea towels help to liven up this wall as well.
I found this beautiful pair of Ralph Lauren lamps at HomeSense – what a lucky find! This similar blue and white lamp is a great option.
They are absolutely perfect in our kitchen and provide the color and pattern I was wanting over by our sink. They’re gorgeous at night too!
I was on the hunt for pleated lamp shades for our wall sconces to add to my spring kitchen look, but I had some trouble finding them in time. So, I discovered a really simple way to make my own! Read below for the DIY.
DIY PLEATED LAMP SHADE: Cut strips of fabric, fold each in half lengthwise, simply fold the top and bottom inside the shade, securing each strip with tape. Work your way all the way around, tucking the last strip under the first strip. SO simple and SO chic!
With all of the new layers of color and pattern in our spring kitchen, this room is such a joy to look at, cook in and enjoy family time in. It’s definitely my very happy place!
