HOME DECOR UPDATES WITH CHIC NEW RUGS!

It always feels so good to clear away the holiday decor and get our homes ready for a new season. Even though it’s still winter, I am always looking forward to spring at this time and I always love new home decor updates to freshen up our home. There are a lot of ways to update your home in between seasons, as new decor trickles its way into our houses. One of the quickest ways to do that is to swap out rugs in smaller spaces – it’s a quick, affordable way to breathe new life into any space. Today I’m sharing two gorgeous rugs from Wayfair in our kitchen and entryway, plus a roundup of several others. I always find what I’m looking for at Wayfair – I have several products throughout our home from there that I’ve collected through many years. From decor and accessories, plumbing fixtures, lighting, rugs, bedding and so much more. Everything I’m looking for is always affordable, the customer service is impeccable, they have very fast shipping and returns are always so easy. I can always find what I need. I hope today you find some inspiration to bring some newness to your space for these in-between seasonal months.

A CHIC KITCHEN RUG!

I love our new rug so much! It has beautiful, neutral colors that coordinate in our kitchen perfectly, the pattern has a chic, traditional vibe and the fact that it’s washable and extremely affordable makes this rug the perfect choice for an easy update in our kitchen.

Washable rugs are perfect for our kitchen, this space works hard! From the sink to the dishwasher, our stove and prep area, rugs that occupy this part of our kitchen see a lot of traffic and food spills.

I update and rotate rugs in this space and throughout our home often, so I don’t always want to spend too much – another reason I love a washable rug for a kitchen. This one is also non-slip and doesn’t need anything underneath, which is also great.

The colors work beautifully in our kitchen for a fresh post-holiday look, with all of my pretty blue accents.

The pattern also complements any style, modern or traditional. Rugs are such a great way to add your own personality to a room.

When you want to add newness throughout your home or even in one space , a chic new rug update is always perfect for any season!

A CHIC ENTRYWAY RUG!

I’m so excited about our new entryway rug too! This pretty and whimsical look is so different for me and I love it. The pattern is so beautiful.

This rug was a tiny splurge since it’s bigger in size and not washable in our machine. However, it’s very easy to spot wash with a cloth and works great in our entryway as well – even in the winter months.

I love the lighter background with the warm tones and hints of blue in this rug also. It’s a gorgeous mix with our black doors, wood floors, gray console table, gold mirror and blue faux grasscloth wallpaper – it brings in a sense of warmth for the winter months.

I wanted to juxtapose that warmth in the rug and add a sense of newness and spring with a light color palette to style our console table. I love this mix!

MORE CHIC, GORGEOUS RUGS!

Since I have such a love of blues and you’ll always find them throughout our home, I thought it would be fun to share a chic roundup of beautiful rugs with blue and neutral tones, all in a range of price points and styles.

  2. Hi Tamara, I’m a big fan from western Canada but currently in Australia for a while. I loved this post on updating a space with a new rug which we plan on doing when we return home. I’ve also noticed your gorgeous glass doorknobs and wondering if you would share your source. They are stunning and just the right ‘jewellery’ to your entry.
