OUR TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS ENTRYWAY: CHIC & SOPHISTICATED DECORATING
Do you decorate your entryway for the holidays? I always love to try and make a statement in ours – it is the first space inside your home that greets guests and sets the tone for what’s to come. It’s important to me to create a welcoming foyer and this year, our Christmas entryway is a sophisticated, chic and traditional take on the season. Blue and white chinoiserie pieces complement the lush greenery and red florals. Keeping with the rest of our Christmas home, the color palette in red and blue, accented with a classic plaid is timeless and elegant. Come on in and tour our Christmas entryway!

CHRISTMAS ENTRYWAY DECORATING
A few, simple holiday touches are all you need to make an impact in your entryway. I’ve used the same garland in here for the last few years, which previously hung over our front door.
This year, we hung it over our mirror and it makes a truly stunning statement. Dressed up with red berry garland, berry picks and our plaid ribbon that you’ll find throughout our home this Christmas.
Everything else is styled in a simple, minimal way, to let the garland and floral arrangement take center stage in here.
I framed beautiful Christmas tree prints to hang above our chairs, as. you enter our home. Digital art is such an easy and inexpensive way to freshen up your space.
The plaid blankets with their pop of vibrant color echo the plaid ribbon in the garland and draw your eye into our home.

I always love to use symmetry when I decorate – it creates balance and visual harmony. It’s pleasing to look at and adds a sense of calm.
My oversized arrangement helps set the tone for all of the arrangements throughout our home this Christmas. A large, full and lush bouquet of greenery, gorgeous burgundy hydrangeas and berry picks.
Below you can see the arrangements I created in our Christmas living room, Christmas kitchen and Christmas dining room, which is coming very soon, so stay tuned!
Simple and elegant gold reindeer flanking the arrangement are dressed up with burgundy satin ribbon.
Simple chinoiserie pieces – my ginger jar and decorative balls, as well as a touch more greenery with berries, help to balance out our console table without overwhelming the look or creating visual clutter.
I cut two pieces of my ribbon, shaped them and tucked them into the garland, leaving the ends loosely curled – the same technique that I used on our Christmas tree.
Our ribbon is sold out but this plaid ribbon is very similar and will give you the desired look. Below are other similar ribbons as well.

I used two red berry garlands on each side of my pine garland and intertwined them downward. I also added a few more greenery picks at the top to create fullness in the center, as well as a few more red berry picks at the top help to bring more color.
The look in our Christmas entryway this year is chic, traditional, elegant and festive. You only need a few, thoughtful pieces to style your space to make a statement.
Thank you for touring our Christmas entryway today! I hope you’re inspired to create a special space to welcome your friends and family this Christmas.
