ELEGANT KITCHEN DECOR FOR SPRING
Don’t you just love spring? I know we all get so excited for longer days (the clocks go forward this weekend!), warmer weather, open doors and windows, greenery outside…
We’re still in the thick of winter and snow, but I’m very hopeful it’ll be gone soon! March is always such a finicky month where we live, so you never know what it may bring!
I love the changes and what a new season brings, both outdoors and in.
I’m always trying to find ways to create newness in our home each season, without going overboard with my decor, and making sure it still feels true to my style.
I find myself needing to simplify more and more as the years go by, using less decor and less stuff, but at the same time still trying to please my maximalist heart!
I wanted a simple and classic look in our spring kitchen and our home this year.
You’ll typically find blue and white chinoiserie elements dotted throughout our home, sometimes more than others. I pared back a little bit this spring, with a few touches styled here and there.
I went more neutral on this side of the kitchen, and chose to not use anything blue and white on our open shelves, to let them visually breathe a little bit. They can start looking cluttered, so I opted to keep it clean and simple.
Light blue ginger jars flank the sink, keeping the look clean here also.
I found these beautifully monogrammed towels (and two others hanging on the oven door), they add the prettiest touch hanging over our sink.
Just the right amount of beautiful blue to tie in with all of the other blue elements.
MONOGRAMMED TOWELS
I ordered these beautiful cotton embroidered monogram towels and love the elegance they add to our spring kitchen!
As I mentioned above, I decided to keep our open shelves neutral with no blue and white pieces here (except for the scoops in my glass apothecary jars).
I wanted to showcase some of my freshly cleaned silver pieces that I finally got around to dealing with…cleaning silver is not one of my favorite tasks!
I recently tried the easiest and quickest method ever – so good, you won’t want to put off this tedious task anymore. Trust me on this one. You can see what these pieces looked like before, in my post on how to clean silverware.

SIMPLE SPRING STYLING AROUND THE RANGE
I used two more ginger jars over here, as I often do, they’re always a go-to accessory for me, you’ll find them all over our home. I love the symmetry around our stove as well.
Some simple brass details like our vintage candlesticks and brass salt and pepper mills, add another visual layer and warmth to this vignette.
You’ll find two more gorgeous embroidered towels over here, these ones are linen and so elegant, timeless and chic.

A beautiful faux hydrangea arrangement in the center draws the eye over to this space.

SIMPLE KITCHEN ISLAND DECORATING
I often have a few of pieces styled on our island, it’s a pretty large surface area, so I like to have something substantial to make a statement.
This spring season I pared back the look here, and went simple and clean with only these two beauties.
My large ginger jar is stunning wherever it sits, I love to use it here, to ground a grouping.
FAUX ORCHID
I’m in love with these faux orchids – they are fabulous in person and look so real!
I created this beautiful faux orchid arrangement with this faux orchid stem and faux moss – so easy and so pretty for spring…I have a few of these throughout our home this season, I’m obsessed!
Scroll a little further down for the how-to, and the items you need to create your own.
HOW TO ARRANGE FAUX ORCHIDS
Create a stunning arrangement in minutes!
- Select your pot – I love to use anything blue and white
- Arrange florist foam inside the pot, cutting to size – I like to make sure the height is level with the opening of the pot
- Secure the faux orchid stem (or multiple stems for a larger pot) by pushing it into the foam, making sure to leave a little bit of space for dried or faux moss
- Arrange and tuck the moss under the leaves and around the opening, covering the entire surface so no gaps or foam are visible
- You now have a gorgeous spring orchid arrangement!
DECORATING TIP
Like a layered look? Group two or more orchid arrangements together for a gorgeous and elegant statement anywhere in your home. If you like to use multiples, vary the heights and use boards or risers on different levels to create visual interest in your grouping.

Absolutely stunning! I love the ginger jars in shades of blue and white especially the displays next to your range. I thought the orchid was real at first, that’s a clever DIY that I might have to try. I’ve never had much luck keeping real orchids alive! Definitely pinning this!
I could stare at your beautiful kitchen all day! I love all your classic details, the blue and white porcelain collection and those pretty monogrammed towels!
