BLUE + GREEN CHRISTMAS DECOR IN OUR LIVING ROOM: A SIMPLE AND ELEGANT LOOK!
Today I’m sharing my blue and green Christmas decor in our living room – I must tell you, I think this is my favorite Christmas color palette yet. I talked about this gorgeous color palette in my Christmas tree and mantel post this past weekend. With touches of soft sage green and soft blues, accented with understated holiday greenery and blue and white Chinoiserie, our Christmas living room and home feels sophisticated and elegant, yet still very simple. I am so happy with how it all came together.
We’re already in the third week of November and Thanksgiving is here – how did this fall season and this entire year go so fast?! I feel like I’m a little behind on it all, but I’m trying my best to bring you the best inspiration that I can.
I hope you enjoy our Christmas living room!

CHRISTMAS LIVING ROOM DECOR IN BLUE + GREEN
My holiday look this year is a little bit vintage-inspired on our tree, and with the use of simple greenery, but also a little modern with some of my accessories.
Keeping this in mind, I wanted the overall look of our living room to feel updated and clean but still layered and collected.
Kind of an oxymoron, I know!
I am a traditionalist at heart, there is no doubt, and I’m also a maximalist! But I also love clean, simple and modern touches here and there.
So when I think about taking a modern approach to holiday styling, for me, that’s fewer layers, and accessories with clean lines.
Our shelves can feel cluttered looking when there are too many pieces on them, even with a monochromatic palette, so I kept them as simple as I could without them looking boring and bare.
Our buffet behind the sofa is dressed with simple decor – more on that further down!

PILLOW COVERS IN BEAUTIFUL BLUES
I’m truly so fortunate to be able to parter with Arianna Belle every season, to bring my living room vision to life. We went with a monochromatic look, all in blue this Christmas.
A little side note – I’m still all about the karate chop! I know some people say it’s old and dated, but to me, gorgeous pillows need that perfect chop.
You probably recognize my Don’t Fret Pillow covers from our summer living room.
I decided to use them again here, I thought it was the perfect look for my blue and green Christmas decor. A bold, but elegant statement, the pattern is exquisite.
Our newest beauties are these gorgeous Chinois Fret covers with navy piping (center).
I’m such a huge fan of piping – it always elevates the look and adds the most beautiful finishing detail for a crisp, clean edge.
The Powder blue velvet covers were first seen in our fall living room last year – it’s such a versatile color and the velvet is so soft and beautiful. These are a great staple to add to any pillow arsenal!
The three pillows together are so beautiful, don’t you think? So pretty with all the greenery throughout our home.

BLUE + GREEN CHRISTMAS DECOR ON OUR BUFFET
I took my more ‘modern approach’ to styling our buffet, with simple mercury glass trees, candles and a beautiful greenery and ginger jar arrangement.

OUR CHRISTMAS TREE + MANTEL
Our tree and mantel are decked in more blue and green this year! Head over to get all the details!
I used simple faux greenery stems arranged in my ginger jar as the focal point of this vignette.
Some design books create a riser for my arrangement – always a simple way to bring importance to a piece and showcase it.
I formed two groupings on either side of my arrangement and staggered the trees and candles.

SIMPLE COFFE TABLE STYLING FOR CHRISTMAS
I kept my Christmas decor very simple on our ottoman this year, with some more pretty faux greenery arranged in another ginger jar on one side, and a simple ceramic white church on the other.
A beautiful scented candle in a gorgeous soft green is the perfect accent to compliment everything.
I always keep my design books on my trays to add layers of interest and to showcase accessories with some height.

With a view into our dining room and entryway, you can see the rest of our simple and elegant touches of blue and green Christmas decor – simple garland, beautiful greenery arrangements and my blue and white chinoiserie.
In the corner next to our bookshelves, where our tree has been for the last several years, you’ll find more blue and green Christmas decor – a simple, undecorated faux tree nestled in my blue and white planter.
I absolutely love the mix of chinoiserie and holiday greenery throughout our Christmas living room and home this year.
Thank you for visiting and reading with me today – I hope you’re inspired by my blue and green Christmas decor! Stay tuned for more holiday posts coming soon. Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! xo
