UPDATING A SMALL BATHROOM WITH A CLASSIC WHITE VANITY

Do you remember last Summer, when we updated our kids’ small bathroom for less than $500? We wallpapered (I actually wallpapered by myself!), updated the lighting and shower curtain, and for a very minimal amount of money, we had a whole new look. I always knew I would one day replace the little black vanity that used to serve as a desk from my childhood. That day is finally here, and I’m sharing all the details on our new classic white vanity as well as a new toilet that we plan to use. We love everything about the transformation this bathroom received, but with such a tiny space and growing children (one is a 5’8 teenage boy), it was time to update with something taller that has storage as well. You can see the full post by clicking here.Right now we have this sitting in our living room believe it or not, until the new faucet arrives and we can swap out the old vanity. I was so lucky when I stumbled upon this gorgeous little classic white vanity through a local retail liquidation website. I’ve been looking around here and there for a new piece, and I got this one for such a steal. At half price, this little beauty was only about $450. I mean, that price is truly unheard of. For a solid vanity that has storage, a shelf, classic chrome fixtures, soft closing cabinets, an extra little pullout drawer AND a gorgeous marble top – I hit ‘add to cart‘ before I could blink!

Having the added storage in here will be huge – there is zero storage right now and everything from toothpaste to bath towels resides in the linen closet in the hallway. So, just to have a place for the kids’ toiletries alone, is such a victory! Having limited space in our home forces us to keep less, however we still accumulate very quickly and just that little bit of extra space will help tremendously in here.

The new vanity needs small adjustments – the doors are not perfectly square, but for half off the regular price, I will gladly take it. Many of you know I love to decorate on a budget, and scoring a classic white vanity like this is what it’s all about! It will look perfect once it’s installed with the new beautiful faucet I ordered as well.
I love this little pullout drawer too! Another storage solution that will help corral toothpaste and toothbrushes.The classic chrome cabinet pulls have traditional detailing that I love. I typically prefer handles over pulls, but these are beautiful, so for now I’ll keep them. The marble top is a beautiful soft grey with some warm and cool toned veining throughout, which I love. The edges have bevelled detailing which is an added bonus especially in a small space – no sharp corners.
