SIMPLE SUMMER BEDROOM DECOR
How do you decorate your bedroom for the warmer months? I’ve always been a fan of changing my bedding a couple times throughout year, and summer is no exception. Today I’m sharing a few, simple summer bedroom decor ideas that you can use to give your bedroom a fresh, coastal feel…my favorite look of all.
I’m excited to be joining a very talented group of bloggers, for our Inviting Summer Bedrooms Tour, hosted by my friend Marty, of A Stroll Thru Life. I’m sharing this week’s full lineup at the bottom of my post, so please make sure to scroll down to the bottom and check them out!
If you’re visiting from Amber’s bedroom of Follow the Yellow Brick Home, welcome, I’m so glad you’re here! I just love her beautiful bedroom and those gorgeous florals! Summer vibes at it’s best!
Continue down to see what our summer bedroom decor is like this year – I kept it light and breezy, with just a few simple changes! Enjoy!

SUMMER BEDROOM DECORATING WITH A FRESH COASTAL FEEL
I always love a beach-inspired home, and as many of you already know, I’m meant to live somewhere warm, near the water! I talk about it often, there is just something about a coastal feel that speaks to me, like being on an eternal vacation. Wouldn’t that be so nice?
I would miss the crisp air and rich colors of fall, the white, snowy Christmases, but as I get older, I’m happy to trade it in just to escape the freezing temps of winter! And winter is freezing here where we live!
That said, summer decorating is my favorite! For our summer bedroom decor this year, I chose this pretty new bedding in a soft, blue and white palette, mixed with my favorite shams. My light blue pillows that you may recognize from my summer living room post (click here to see it), are from Lauren Haskell. The light blue tones in here are really beautiful, it all adds so much softness to our bedroom, and the play off our wall color creates a more monochromatic look.
I get a lot of questions about this wall color. Unfortunately it’s discontinued, but the closest match I’ve been able to source is Benjamin Moore Lily White. I talk about finding colors more in my post dedicated to all of the paint colors in our home. You can read more about it here.
There’s nothing like fresh-cut flowers in the summer time! These pretty Annabelle Hydrangeas are from our garden. They have the most gorgeous light green hue, perfect for my summer color theme.
These pretties are the remnants of a gorgeous bouquet one of my dear friends gave me recently. They are perfect perched here on my nightstand. Just a few cuttings is all you need. Greenery clippings from trees and shrubs also do the trick beautifully and are the perfect summer accent.
A few extra details like a coral sculpture and a blue and white ginger jar, styled together creates beautiful summer bedroom decor display. You know I love my ginger jars just about anywhere ;)I ordered this gorgeous rattan tray recently and it works anywhere I use it in our home. I’ve linked a similar one here. It echoes the shape and texture of our new rattan mirror as well. Did you notice the change? We used to have a gold sunburst mirror here (click here to see our bedroom last winter!).
I picked it up from a local retailer, but this one from Pottery Barn is identical! Love when I can source something so close for you! I shared a fun round mirror roundup last week, click here to see it. This mirror is such a fresh addition for summer, and we love it.A few simple touches is all you need to bring in a new season. If changing your bedding is not something you can do, some new throw pillows (or some from elsewhere in your home like mine were) or a throw blanket always does the trick.
Fresh cut flowers or some garden clippings, a woven tray and some seasonal accents make the perfect statement. I hope you found my simple summer bedroom decor inspiring to bring some summer touches to your space! Next in line for today is Sarah from Thrifty Decor Chic – I just love everything she does! Your room looks beautiful! I love your bedding. That blue is such a soft relaxed shade. So perfectly coastal. And I love the your drawer pulls on the little bedside chest.
