Please make sure you grab a copy  – it’s filled with so many fabulous ideas, and features some truly amazing bloggers and their Christmas homes too. You’ll love this, it’s a fabulous issue! Enjoy!

MY BHG MAGAZINE FEATURE – CHRISTMAS IDEAS 2019!

Here it is – BHG’s gorgeous Christmas Ideas magazine full of so many ideas to get you ready for the holidays. When they reached out to me to do the feature, our home was already decorated for Christmas in neutrals and metallics – white, cream, gold and silver was my theme to compliment all of our new furniture we got last year. It’s an 8 page spread featuring our mantel and tree, along with a few closeups of our kitchen, dining room and entryway. I was asked to incorporate more of my blues that I had used the year prior…
So I went to work around the house and redecorated in January. It was a lot of work to decorate twice, but so worth it…when the BHG team arrived, we got to even more work, restyling and setting up all over the house. It was a blast – you’ll love to get a peek here if you haven’t yet!It came out absolutely gorgeous and I couldn’t be happier or more honored! There are so many great ideas, tips and tricks all throughout this issue, and my dear friend Randi Garrett and her gorgeous Christmas home are also featured. I had to share, because Randi is one of the first friends I made when I started out on this venture on Instagram, she is as kindhearted and sweet, as her home is spectacularity stunning. If you don’t know Randi yet, I would be completely shocked! She’s an Instagram rockstar and has the most elegant style imaginable. You will adore her!

A LOOK BACK AT LAST YEAR’S CHRISTMAS DECOR

Here’s a look at our front porch from last Christmas. I keep it very similar year to year – fresh cut greens for my planters, garland around the door, and pencil trees flanking the columns for the last two years. I’m thinking of ways to update the look this year, I know I’ll be getting a new garland, and I think I’ll arrange my planters in urns for something a little more traditional. You can visit this post here and see more!

SHOP THE LOOK:

Our Christmas kitchen was bathed in metallics and snow-covered greenery – I really loved the neutral palette with our natural barstools and brass lighting and hardware. My look this year in this space will probably be similar with a few blue and gold touches sprinkled around. You can see more of our kitchen here.

SHOP THE LOOK:

Our entryway was adorned with more gold and silver last year as well. Layers on layers on layers of texture! I think I’ll be going more simple and classic in here this Christmas, just to keep things clean and streamlined. Visit last year’s entryway here.

SHOP THE LOOK:

Our dining room, which got a makeover last year, was actually quite similar to how we styled for the shoot – the table has a mix of fresh greenery, and gold and silver ornaments, with loads of texture. You can have a closer look here.

SHOP THE LOOK:

Last year, when we got our new sofas, I wanted a clean and crisp palette of white and cream, gold and silver for an elegant look. I loved the light airy feel it brought to our living room! You can see more here.

Finally, here’s a look at my blue, gold and silver decor from two years ago that inspired the BHG look, before we had white sofas. It is one of my absolute favorite palettes – I was so in love with how it came together with the new furniture in our space when we shot for the magazine, I knew I was using it again this year! See more of this decor here. Stay tuned for what’s to come this Christmas!

  9. Wow…What a coincidence. I just bought my copy today. I am so anxious to sit down with a cup of coffee and start to page through. What an honor to be in their 2019 Christmas issue. I know for most, this is too early to think about Christmas, but I always like to look at my Christmas magazines early, then put them aside for a couple weeks, then get them out and take my time reading each article.
    Congratulations!
