CASUAL & CHIC SPRING LIVING ROOM DECOR
Today I’m sharing my spring living room decor and I have to say I think this is one of my very favorite looks yet! I know I say that often but these pretty layers of light blues and creamy whites, our new artwork, woven lamps, gorgeous new pillows and stunning new rug have me very excited…
There’s lots of gorgeous details happening that I think you’ll love too.
I always love to create a luxe look in our home, but most importantly, it needs to feel welcoming and livable. Our spring living room is all about a casual and chic look that’s inviting and beautiful. Keep reading to see what’s new this season!

SPRING LIVING ROOM DECOR: OUR GORGEOUS NEW RUG
Welcome to our spring living room!
I’m starting my tour today with our gorgeous new 9 x 12′ Annabel Medallion rug from Layla Grace – the soft blues and beige tones are the perfect compliment to our spring living room decor and this piece is such an elegant update in our home.
Our home is open concept and this is our main living space, visible from everywhere – this room sets the tone for our entire home.
Livable, elegant, sophisticated and chic is what I always strive to achieve in our home and our new rug is the perfect accent piece to ground our space.
I love the gorgeous large medallion in the center and pretty vine motifs, and how the soft colors add a pretty, sophisticated, but understated elegance to the room.
It’s such a chic addition to our home!

OUR BEAUTIFUL NEW SPRING PILLOWS!
To say I love our new pillows is an understatement!
I’ve been working with Arianna from Arianna Belle for the last few seasons and her gorgeous, luxe pillows always help to elevate our living space.
This spring I chose Adeline Blue Block Print Floral, Chambray Blue Linen and Lorna Blue Geometric.
I love mixing patterns and Arianna helped me find the perfect pillow combo for a light and sophisticated look.
They’re so gorgeous with my color theme this season, and that casual and chic look I was after.
They compliment the rug beautifully and add an upscale coastal vibe to our home that I love so much.

OUR NEW WOVEN LAMPS + ARTWORK
I went out on a limb and bought something I normally might not! These woven lamps were a fun find that I recently scored from HomeSense.
I love the casual style and the beachy feel they add – a fabulous juxtaposition to our more refined looking pieces, and our new pillows.
It’s always fun to mix things to create a unique look that’s personal to your own style.
Using just a couple of natural elements like woven textures and some wood touches help to achieve that laid-back casual look I wanted for spring and summer.
I also found some new blue and white ginger jars and coral sculptures to add to my growing collections – I’ll never have enough of either one!
I realize that I may be what some people describe as addicted to ginger jars, but I they are so fun to collect.
Someone suggest to me on Instagram that I should have a contest and ask people to guess how many I have…I thought that was brilliant!
Can you guess without counting? Our new free printable ginger jars hanging in here are perfect for my collection – I downloaded them from The Painted Hive, I just love them.
I also loved our previous modern art (see them in last year’s spring living room), but I wanted to change things up and lighten the look.

SPRING STYLING: BOOKSHELVES LAYERED IN BLUE + WHITE
If you’re a regular reader, you know our bookshelves often have the same pieces from season to season. I don’t change them drastically for a few reasons…
- I love the pieces that I keep on them – many of which are ginger jars, books for stacking, coral, agate, candles, boxes.
- They’re items that are easy to style and create vignettes or pretty moments.
- I try and keep my shelves simple, but filled with beautiful things I cherish.
I like to move pieces around each season, adding and subtracting here and there to create the final look.
This spring is about layers of light blues and warm whites, accented with traditional blue and white chinoiserie pieces – a staple around here the last few years!

SPRING STYLING ON OUR OTTOMAN
Another new item are these adorable light blue trays I found…a happy accident that happened at the grocery store.
I love when I unexpectedly find something that fits our home and is a total steal – $12 a piece, I used two together to corral some styling staples.
They’re not perfect and are a little smaller than my usual gold tray that use here, but they were too fun to pass up.
And the color is gorgeous, don’t you think?

Here are a few more shots for your inspiration.
Thank you for visiting and reading with me today, I hope you’re excited to decorate for spring in your home!
If you’re looking for more spring ideas, head over to my chinoiserie chic spring bedroom if you haven’t seen it yet. I’ll be back with our spring entryway next week, our spring kitchen and dining room after that. Happy Spring! xo
Thank you so much, that is so kind! xox
Hi Laura! Thank you so much for you very kind words! We also have Stonington Gray in our dining room and we’re in the middle of a small kitchen update, where we’ll be painting Fanfare (also going in our living room eventually) and Simply White, both by BM. Here is a link to my white jar as well, it’s from Lauren Haskell – https://rstyle.me/+DzlEORJDrVNi6e0rPkEXKg
My hydrangeas are faux, they’re from many different places through the years, I don’t remember specifically, but Michael’s always has beautiful ones. Hope that helps, thanks for reading with me! xo
Hello!!! Wow!!! You have amazing taste and your home is stunning!!
I see you used Collingwood in your living room. Are there other Benjamin Moore colors you have used? We are looking at using Swiss Coffee or Sea Pearl.
Also, would you be able to tell me the size of your large ginger jar that is white that has the hydrangea in it? And if you happen to recall where you purchased it? And lastly, are those real hydrangea or no, and if no where they were purchased, absolutely stunning
I love your decorating style, so classic and elegant, and all your blue and white just makes my heart happy………..
Thanks for sharing,
Blessings,
Nellie

Thank you so much Sandy! No, these are clear glass, but we have complete privacy in our yard, with no neighbours behind us and a wooded lot…it’s a nice treat! xo
What a really beautiful room! I’m curious if your French doors have frosted glass, if not, what do use for privacy at night?
