You may remember a few weeks ago when I featured a stunning Florida home, that happens to belong to my brother and sister-in-law. If you haven’t had the chance to see it, do yourself a favor and visit it here. Today, I’m taking you to the back of their home to share their gorgeous, magazine-worthy, white kitchen. Grab some coffee and get comfy, you’re going to love this one!
If you remember the rest of the home, it’s a gorgeous mix of glam, modern and traditional, with layers of pattern mixed in here and there, along with vibrant pops of color. Here in the kitchen, the approach is a little more subdued with the white shaker style cabinets, however no less dramatic with the glamorous touches of black throughout. The cabinets are clean and crisp against the rich, almost black, dark green granite countertops.Keeping in line with the open concept feel of their home, the kitchen was the feature that sold them on the floor plan of this house. Adjacent to the family room, it’s bright and open feel is ideal for entertaining and there is no shortage of that in this home! The sightline leading your eye straight to the front of the home is beautiful, especially when all of that natural light pours through. And I can tell you from experience, morning coffee at this breakfast bar is a little more delicious than usual while sitting in these stools :)They love to cook and this is a true cook’s kitchen with the fabulous double wall ovens and gas range, which is also ideal for entertaining.
I especially love the touches of yellow in here that you also see in every other room (notice the pillows and the painting) on the main floor as well. It’s just enough to keep the theme consistent throughout their home. The ceiling in the dining room plays off of the countertops beautifully.Carerra marble subway tiles in a honed finish are both classic and timeless…definitely on my dream kitchen wishlist! The pot filler faucet was the first item on their wishlist and I love the clean lines of this one. I want one in my kitchen too…I’ll have to add that to my list as well :)This kitchen has such a wonderful flow and has the perfect amount of storage too.The island is the workhorse in here, as it is in many kitchens, and provides the perfect surface for prep work and baking.I love the rustic touches of the chandelier and pedestal table and how they add the perfect balance to the high contrast of the black and white elements. I’m also loving the chrome details as well that you see on the light fixture and nailhead trim of the chairs. Just the right amount of glam! This view into the family room as well as the formal living room beyond provides those pops of color I was referring to earlier. How pretty is this tablescape? I love the layered pieces, and of course the mixed metals, one of my favorite things.Who wouldn’t want to gather around this beautiful table for a family meal or lunch with girlfriends? So, what’s your favorite element of this kitchen? I love it all…the freshness of the crisp white paired with the high contrast of the black elements and how they play off of the rustic touches, all mixed together with the perfect touch of glam. I want to thank my bother and sister-in-law for bringing us in to their gorgeous home and kitchen, and I couldn’t be happier to share it with you!
