** DON’T MISS OUT ON MY 2016 CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR – FIND IT HERE! **

Welcome to my home! I’m very fortunate to be a part of this incredible Winter Bloggerland Tour, hosted by the ever so talented Shauna of The House of Silver Lining. The level of talent amongst this fabulous group of inspiring women is amazing! If you’ve just come from Randi’s elegant and sophisticated home tour of Randi Garrett Design, or if you’re starting here at my home, welcome to my Christmas home tour and thank you so much for stopping by! I’m thrilled to have you here! I hope you’re comfortable – grab a cup of coffee and please make yourself at home!PORCH_DAY6The snow hasn’t fallen yet here in Montreal and although I’m loving our mild temperatures lately, I would have loved it for my photos for that true Christmas feelPORCH_DAYOur Christmas decor is simple classic. I bought some cut greens from the nursery and arranged them in my pots. Then I just add my silver twigs, pinecones and decorations to the fresh pine branches.christmas_wreath4This year on my wreath I added some clip-on decorations from Walmart. I wanted it to feel festive with metalics, yet have a rustic feel since our neighborhood is quite wooded with horsetrails surrounding all the homes in the area.

ENTRANCE_TABLE13Please come on inside and have a look around!ENTRANCE4If this is your first time here, our dining room is immediately to the left as you enter.ENTRANCE3ENTRANCE1You can see through to the back of our home from the entrance. Our home is modest in size and I usually only decorate our main living areas.
ENTRANCE_TABLE5On our entrance console table I added a lot of fresh cut greens layered with some Christmas decorations as well as some of my everyday decor.ENTRANCE_TABLE8My little jingle bell wreaths are hanging from a satin ribbon draped over the door and pinned to the inside. A very simple way to layer in the holiday.ENTRANCE_TABLE3I wanted the entry decor to have outdoor elements with touches of silver and gold, as well as different tones of greens and blues – all which are repeated throughout our Christmas decor.
ENTRANCE_TABLE12ENTRANCE_TABLE2ENTRANCE_TABLE6Here’s a closeup of our color palette.
ENTRANCE_TABLE7I picked up these little glittery berries from the dollar store and I used them all over this Christmas!

DINING_TABLE11DINING_TABLE7This year I layered the table with more greens surrounding the centrepiece. DINING_CLOSE3DINING_TABLE10DINING_TABLEThe table is dressed with all silver and a few touches of gold. I set this table with my sisters and mother in mind, so I went a little glam for the occasion!
DINING_ROOM2Our dining room has a lot of pattern happening – anyone who knows me knows I love to mix prints! I purposely kept the Christmas decor minimal in here.
DINING_TABLE8For the centerpiece, I used a mirrored tray and filled it with different silver, mercury glass and crystal candleholders as well as some small votives to add light from underneath. Then I layered in some mini silver ornaments and clear snowflakes to give the feeling of ice and create reflection.

DINING_CLOSE2It really is magical when it’s all lit up!
DINING_TABLE4This is my exclusively designed gift wrap you see here, which I just launched last month! If you want to see more and order some for Christmas, click here.DINING_TABLE5DINING_TABLE2DINING_CLOSEBUFFET_4My blue lamps on our buffet are perfect with our tree decor.

CL_CHRISTMAS_FAM14BUFFET_1I painted the pinecones gold rather than leave them natural. I wanted something a little more elegant layered on these greens.BUFFET_6They’re perfect with the mix of these wood and brass candleholders from HomeSense.BUFFET_3TREE_13BUFFET_2CL_CHRISTMAS_FAM5GET THE LOOK OF OUR TREE AND BUFFET HERE :

CL_CHRISTMAS_KITCHEN8In the kitchen I kept it classic and minimal. The two wreaths and the swag over the range hood, my gold mercury glass hurricanes flanking the stove, blue and white Chinoiserie vases in front of each window along with a bowl full of ornaments on the island.CL_CHRISTMAS_KITCHEN6Having no upper cabinets on the feature wall allows for the room to breathe and makes the range hood the focal point – the greens draw your eye straight there!CL_CHRISTMAS_KITCHEN9CL_CHRISTMAS_KITCHEN10I wrapped these greens with some heavy wire and added the ribbon and gold painted pine cones on top. It turned out a little more rustic than I had envisioned, but this was my first attempt, so it’s not too bad!CL_CHRISTMAS_KITCHEN11CL_CHRISTMAS_KITCHEN15CL_CHRISTMAS_KITCHEN7Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE my blue and white Chinoiserie! I dressed these up with ribbon, a sprig of pine and glitter berries. Very simple to do and I like to think it’s an elegant touch!CL_CHRISTMAS_KITCHEN14

CL_CHRISTMAS_FAM6The family room is where all of the layers of pattern, color and texture happen! You can see how I like to mix it up! I don’t really change much of my existing decor but I do build my holiday decor around what I already have.
CL_CHRISTMAS_FAM10There are lots os blues in this space – and my pair of ginger jars are perfect atop the bookshelves.CL_CHRISTMAS_FAM7

CL_CHRISTMAS_FAM9OTTOMAN3This arrangement is made of cut greens and ornaments…very simple and about five minutes to create.
OTTOMAN6An overhead view of the ottoman. I added my Christmas decor to my already layered tray.OTTOMAN5I just adore the richness of the deep blues and golds here.CL_CHRISTMAS_FAM13

MANTEL_2The mantel is layered with a base of garland which I built up by adding more pears as well as artichokes, gold and silver grapes and votive candles.MANTEL_3 Here’s a closer look.MANTEL_5
