CHIC SUMMER ENTRYWAY DECOR WITH GREEN HYDRANGEAS, BLUE AND WHITE TOUCHES, AND COASTAL ACCENTS

|

We’re already at the end of July and while many people are already sharing all things fall, I’m still soaking up very bit of summer. I hate to disappoint, but I’m not ready to get into fall just yet! I’ll get there in a few weeks, so don’t worry, by mid august or so, I hope to bring you some fall inspiration. For now, let’s stick to all the goodness of this gorgeous summer season. Today, I’m thrilled to share our summer entryway decor with you. Simple, chic, elegant. One of the only summer changes I made in here is adding a lush, oversized hydrangea arrangement. Many of you know I love large florals that make a big statement and these beautiful snowball hydrangea stems do not disappoint! Sometimes all you need is one striking element to change your space. I think this is a great example of that. I added pretty hydrangea art prints and swapped out my pillow covers for some of my favorite ones. All of the accessories on our console table are existing favorites as well. Easy, breezy, simple. Just the way I like it. Come in and take a look!

SUMMER ENTRYWAY DECOR

I say it all the time -I need easy in my life. When it comes to seasonal decorating, I like to keep things simple. It doesn’t have to be a full house makeover; just a few strategic changes can completely refresh a space.

This summer, I kept our entryway simple and easy, making just a few intentional changes that make a big impact.

A large floral arrangement is the real showstopper this season – always a favorite styling trick of mine – paired with updated artwork and some of my favorite pillow covers.

The rest is about layered whites for added texture (many were here already), with my blue and white pieces that keep the coastal vibe I love so much – especially in the summertime.

I kept most of the accessories in shades of white to create a more textural, layered look.

Coral sculptures, a sculptural bowl, a decorative knot, large shells and crystal candleholders all add visual interest to our console table without overpowering the space.

This is one of my favorite views into our entryway, as your eye wanders into the hallway area that leads to our laundry room. I always like to reinforce my seasonal theme in this space, to create visual continuity.

Looking down the hallway – the transition space between the front and back of our home – you get a great peek into our newly wallpapered laundry room. I’m still putting the finishing touches on it, but I’ll be sharing the full reveal soon, so stay tuned!

Notice how the artwork picks up the green florals in the entryway as well as the green ginger jars on our buffet.

I’ve been swapping out the artwork in these frames each season in recent years. This summer, I chose a beautiful hydrangea digital print for each one – flipping one so it faces the opposite way for a subtle twist. Using digital, printable artwork is such an easy and inexpensive way to refresh any space.

I love our new blue and white chinoiserie wallpaper – it’s so bright and beautiful, and it completely transforms the space. It makes the laundry room feel so much larger, and we’re loving the stunning pop of blue in place of the dark grey we had before. It’s a big change for such a small space!

JUST ADD FLOWERS: BIG, BEAUTIFUL ONES!

As I mentioned earlier, I love making a bold statement with florals – it’s one of my favorite styling tricks that never fails. This summer, these gorgeous long-stem faux snowball hydrangeas are the perfect choice, especially arranged in my classic blue and white vase.

For this lush arrangement, I used ten stems – each with several hydrangea heads. To create fullness, simply pull the heads apart, bend the stems, and fluff the flowers as you arrange them to get that beautiful, full look you want to achieve.

This summer, I’ve carried my blue and green color palette throughout our home, with a strong focus on green floral arrangements. The green touches echo our beautiful outdoor greenery and help bring the outdoors in, creating a fresh, breezy summer vibe indoors.

I’ve featured some more beautiful green floral arrangements in our summer living room and our summer kitchen – it’s such an easy way to tie each space together and create a cohesive statement throughout our home. You can see each space below.

The fullness and height of this stunning arrangement add so much interest to our summer entryway and create that bold statement I love.

Don’t be afraid to go big with your floral arrangements – the bigger and fuller, the better! You almost always need more stems than you think. Plus, you want your arrangement to make a visual impact even from a distance.

A statement arrangement like this should steal the show, while the rest of your decor plays a supporting role. Keep things simple around it so it can really shine.

Thank you so much for joining me today – I hope our summer entryway decor inspired you! Keep your accessories simple, let florals take the lead, and use a restrained color palette to create a look that feels fresh, airy, and beautifully composed. Using these styling tips will help you create a stunning, welcoming space you’ll love to greet your guests in this season – there are still plenty of summer days left to enjoy! xo
