SIMPLE SUMMER KITCHEN DECOR + A BAR STOOL REFRESH!
You know I’m usually decorating with blue and white, and this year’s summer kitchen decor is no exception! I kept it very simple this summer season, playing off of my recent spring kitchen decorating and I added a quick update that I am sooooo in love with.
Can you spot it? You guessed right – that gorgeous new blue and white striped fabric on our kitchen bar stools!
Our newly recovered stools are fresh, crisp and coastal – updating fabric is a super quick and easy way to transform the look of any space!

SIMPLE SUMMER KITCHEN DECOR + NEW BAR STOOL FABRIC!
Do you remember when I recovered them last year, in a grey and ivory stripe? Check out my simple DIY blog post if you missed it – all the simple instructions are in that post.
I did the same thing with this gorgeous fabric from Kravet, which I ordered through Arianna Belle – it’s the same fabric as the striped pillows in my summer living room post.
In just an afternoon, our kitchen bar stools went from clean and classic, to coastal-chic.
They add so much punch to our kitchen, I absolutely love them.
Tell me you love them as much as I do!
I’m still really enjoying our blue rug we brought in here last fall as well – it also adds a gorgeous punch of color that’s perfect with our summer kitchen decor too.
Over by our stove, I created a simple vignette with a mix of ginger jars and faux flowers. The soft green in the flowers is a gorgeous compliment to all of the blue and white.
Our island and open shelving are both decorated with many of my favorite pieces, as usual.
Layers of blue and white, and pieces that I like to use daily.
I’m forever moving things around in our kitchen, and I just love how my solid blue ginger jars play off of this gorgeous fabric on our stools. You may notice I first had my pale blue ginger jars on the island when I started to shoot this space! They’re also beautiful! But I really love the switch – it helps to brings your eye around the room.
What I really love about our new bar stool fabric, is how beautifully the colors compliment the whitewashed wood of our bar stools.
The tones all work so well together and are a very pretty compliment to our black island also.I hope you enjoyed my simple summer kitchen decor post today, and I also hope it helps you to see how much a quick and easy update can transform any space in your home. I absolutely love the change, it feels so good! While it has a coastal vibe – I am totally fine with that! I’m excited to see how this will look for fall and Christmas too. In the mean time, I will keep enjoying the rest of laid-back summer days we have left! xo

Your kitchen is so beautiful! I love the seasonal decorating. Can you tell me the name of the fabric on the chairs?
