Summer entertaining is so easy to do when you keep things simple! I love to create an elegant, laid-back look on my table when we have guests over and also for my family! You can create a gorgeous look no matter who you’re entertaining, even if it’s just a quiet night in.

Today, I’m sharing such a simple way to pull together a chic outdoor look that you, your family and guests will love. I created a gorgeous tablescape on our patio coffee table with chic and affordable pieces from Walmart Home.

Summer is all about easy, no fuss and laid-back days. I created this simple and gorgeous look on our patio to inspire you to create an effortless ambience too. I wish it were summer all year long! What I love so much about creating a look like this, is that I found all of these beautiful pieces online from the Sunny Tabletop collection from Walmart Home, as well as the Wow and Now collection from Walmart Home or in my local Walmart store.

Since we live in Canada, some of our selection is a little different here, but I managed to find all of my pieces from the online selections I linked just above that are available both here and in the US as well.It was so easy and effortless to find everything I needed – from these beautiful blue and white dishes, the gorgeous vintage-inspired goblets and pitcher, the cutest little dip bowls and ramekins, to perfect platters and charcuterie boards (similar), I was able to create a gorgeous table that’s both timeless and on-trend.

HOW TO CREATE A TABLESCAPE ON YOUR COFFEE TABLE

I started my tablescape off by laying down my beautiful blue and white striped turkish towel as the base for everything – it’s a great way to tie all of your pieces together and ground the table.

I use them for everything – styling in our living room, throwing over bedding, using as a tablecloth, these pieces are so versatile!

Next, I arranged platters and dishes around the coffee table in no-fuss way.

Yummy treats to munch on like colourful tomatoes, nuts and hummus and crackers are always perfect for light snacking and help make a beautiful display with color and texture.I absolutely love this pitcher and goblets – they’re just so pretty with their vintage look of embossed glass…they take me back to a bygone era!

I was able to score these salad plates individually in the store, but the full dish set is gorgeous too – made by Corelle, they’re chip resistant, which is so great for outdoors.The dip bowls and ramekins are so colorful and fun! They come in a set of beautiful, vibrant colors. I decided to use just the blue ones to compliment my table.

I finished off the look with fresh-cut hydrangeas from our garden in one of my Mother’s favorite ginger jars, and a pretty blue and white bowlful of fresh lemons.

Start with a tablecloth (or turkish towel like I used), and loosely lay it over your coffee table.
Casually layer your table with platters and charcuterie boards.
Use beautiful, colorful dishes for a vibrant, summer display.
Keep your snacks simple, pretty and healthy – no fuss!
Use pretty glasses and a pitcher to elevate your drinks.
Coordinate your dishes and accents for a cohesive color palette.
Gather fresh cut flowers from your garden and display in a beautiful ginger jar.
Arrange a bowlful of lemons (or any pretty fruit) in a beautiful blue and white bowl.
