FALL LIVING ROOM WITH BEAUTIFUL LAYERS OF BLUE, BEIGE AND GOLD

|

Fall is here in our living room and I’m thrilled to finally be sharing it with you! It’s October, and usually I’ve already shared most of our fall home by now. This year, I’m a little behind and it has made such a big difference with my pictures – the light is so different at this time of year, our home is much darker during the day, and it can be a challenge to capture our space without too much yellow reflection. It’s truly incredible how light affects everything! All this to say, you’ll find a warm glow in our fall living room today. This year is about layers of blues, beiges and golds, accented with block print pillows, antelope prints, luxe velvet, greek key motifs, a touch of plaid and pretty florals. Blue and white is always in the background and even a few touches of my favorite coastal accents. As always, I style our home with what we love, not just something that is trendy or too seasonally specific. In case you missed our fall kitchen, you can take the tour and get inspired there – I hope you’re inspired here today too!

OUR FALL LIVING ROOM

You see that warm glow in our living room? While the trees are only just starting to turn color, the lower position of the sun makes a drastic difference in our home. I do love the cozy feel it brings to our home.

Beautiful faux beige hydrangeas and blueberry picks create a lush arrangement that welcomes you into our space. Flanked with greek key ginger jars, also in beige, our buffet is layered with chic pieces that I love.

Simply styled shelves, layered pillows and favorite curated pieces also create our fall living room look.

You’ll also notice our new drapes this season as well – these gorgeous, linen drapes with a triple pleat header and beige greek key trim detail are perfect in here for fall.

DRAPE DETAILS

Fabric: Liz Linen | Color: Beige White 1908-1 | Trim: D21 | Header style: Triple pleat | Single panel: 83”W x 121”H | Liner: Privacy | Memory Shape: Yes

They beautifully envelope this space and make a sophisticated, elegant statement in here – picking up all of the warm tones layered throughout our fall living room and complementing all of my blues as well.

SIMPLE, MONOCHROMATIC BOOKSHELVES

I chose to keep our bookshelves simple and monochromatic this fall season. It’s such a clean, elegant look, layered with some of my favorite pieces in blue and white. I try to only change a few things on these shelves to keep it simple.

For me, seasonal decorating is always about color, texture and pattern – not necessarily typical fall motifs.

I love the beautiful fall digital artwork for our tv (this is one of 30 designs) and how it complements our shelves and also balances the beige and gold tones in our space.

It’s really the only ‘fall themed’ piece in here. Everything else that speaks to fall is through color, texture and pattern.

Yes, I’m using some coral sculptures on our shelves – because they make me happy! You can absolutely keep pieces in your home that may speak to a different season.

There are no mistakes! It’s how you use everything else in the space that matters.

It’s using pieces that I love to create a mood. Warm candles, rich velvet, beautiful color and pattern. It’s that simple.

FALL PILLOWS LAYERED IN PATTERN, COLOR AND TEXTURE

Our fall living room is layered with the prettiest mix of gorgeous pillows. This very chic block print pillow cover in the center, from Ridhi Block Print is such a pretty palette of colors for the season.

I’ve flanked it on each sofa with chic beige antelope pillow covers and luxe, blue velvet pillow covers with a subtle, greek key motif.

It’s a truly beautiful mix and they’re so lovely layered all together, as well as in front my floral arrangement.

FALL DECOR ON OUR OTTOMAN

Keeping on theme with using what I love and layering textures, I styled our ottoman with a few key items in our fall living room.

Beautiful, vintage gold candlesticks, a chic hurricane lantern and more greek key ginger jars create this fall vignette – and you’ll even find my favorite oversized shell sitting among them too.

I truly believe in curating a home that is filled with things you love and that have meaning. There are so many ways to approach seasonal decorating and none of them are wrong. Just always go with what feels good, brings beauty to your home and happiness to your life.

That wraps up the tour in here, I hope you enjoyed perusing our fall living room and that you’re here inspired today.

Thank you as always for reading with me – I’ll be back soon with our fall entryway and another Christmas post next week too! xo
