OUR BEDROOM REFRESH DESIGN BOARD: A CHIC, TIMELESS EUROPEAN LOOK
I’m so excited! Today I’m finally sharing our bedroom refresh design board – the look is SO chic and timeless and we couldn’t love it more. Our bedroom was beautiful before, we loved it – it’s also seen many decorating updates through the years, all of which we loved too! However, we wanted more of an elevated look in our space and we felt it was time for another bedroom refresh. We were after a classic, elegant look that feels like a chic and sophisticated European hotel room, that is enveloped with beautiful character. We kept our existing upholstered bed and neutral rug and changed the rest of the furnishings, ceiling lighting and accessories. The biggest change you’ll find in our bedroom is the addition of gorgeous, traditional wall moldings and paint, as well as our stunning new window treatments. You’ll see it all come together in the full reveal, but for now, you can enjoy a glimpse of what’s to come – I think you’ll find our timeless bedroom refresh very inspiring and chic!

Our bedroom is a very intimate space with a very small footprint. When we were trying to decide on furniture placement and new furnishings, at only 12 x 14 feet, every single inch counts!

Below are some of the changes our bedroom has seen through the years…there have been a few!
I’ve wanted to add traditional wall moldings in our bedroom for many years and I’m so happy we finally got around to it. Below is a peek I snapped with my phone.
We painted the walls from the crown to the baseboards, in Benjamin Moore Blue Lace 1625 – it’s the perfect blue-grey wall color. It’s rich and elegant and this new look is so calming and serene.
You may recognize the chic ginger jar art prints from our fall entryway – I love how they look in our bedroom, too! I’m also exploring vintage bird prints as an option, so we’ll see what we end up with.
We’ll be hanging gorgeous new custom drapes and bamboo roman shades along with new brass hardware, which help to achieve that elevated look we wanted. Layering the windows with the shades adds texture and visual interest as well. I can’t wait to show you!

We updated our ceiling lighting with a chandelier that has a soft, feminine feel. This pretty light fixture I found has the shape I was looking for, but needed a little bit more detailing, so we added these pleated shades, as well as a chic ceiling medallion for that old-world, European feel I was after.
ELEGANT NEW LIGHTING
By adding chic, pleated shades and a ceiling medallion, we elevated this simple, pretty chandelier to an elegant, timeless look.
The right furniture can be difficult to find! I wanted to find beautiful, elegant, timeless pieces that would fit in our space and still provide the function of much needed storage. Our nightstands and vintage dresser are perfect for our new bedroom refresh.
GORGEOUS NIGHTSTANDS
With our new furniture placement, we needed something smaller with ample storage. These beautiful nightstands echo the shape of our headboard and have a classic look.
A VINTAGE TALLBOY DRESSER
Adding antique or vintage furniture lends a timeless feel to any room and adds character – we needed a large piece that was both beautiful and functional. I found this beauty on FB Marketplace for a steal! It’s elegant lines are handsome and rich.
