AN ELEGANT OUTDOOR SUMMER TABLESCAPE
I am so happy it’s finally warm and sunny and we can eat outdoors again. We live in a northern climate, with unpredictable weather, but so far our Spring has been pretty beautiful so far. I’m even happier to be sharing this gorgeous summer tablescape with all of you. I’ve been praying for warm weather, to be able to use our patio to feature my new tableware from the Aerin collection for Williams Sonoma Home, who I’ve partnered together with to bring you all of this blue, white and green gorgeousness.

ELEGANT OUTDOOR SUMMER TABLESCAPE
Even though the trees were not quite fully grown in when I shot this, just the start of their growth gets me in the mood for the summer season.
The surrounding greenery paired with my favorite blue and white accessories are the perfect backdrop for this fabulous collection.
To say I’m in love is an understatement!
The fresh, crisp color palette is perfect for alfresco entertaining and I love how effortless it feels, while still being chic and sophisticated.
Easy elegance is what I like to call this summer tablescape. I’m always all about bringing that feeling into our home and you can easily do the same in your home too.

When I was asked by my friends over at Williams Sonoma ,to feature this collection, I jumped at the opportunity.
THE COLLECTION PICTURED IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE, HOWEVER THIS SIMILAR, STUNNING COLLECTION HAS THE SAME BEAUTIFUL LOOK!
What I love most about this collection, is that there are so many different pieces you can coordinate together, and mix and match.
From the linens, to the plates, to the glassware, you can seamlessly combine any of it and it looks so gorgeous, no matter how you mix it. Perfect for easy summer entertaining.
The beautiful hand painted design is fresh and vibrant and I love the hint of nostalgia it brings to our summer tablescape. Our son commented on them the other night, and how much he loves them, and that they remind him of something his grandmother, my mother, would have in her kitchen.
I think I was smiling from ear to ear when he said that! My mom has always been my biggest inspiration and has been since I was a girl. Our home wouldn’t be what it is today without her incredible style influence.
I love the way all of the patterns work together so effortlessly. These cute little appetizer plates come with four different patterns in the set, which I love.
I’m all about the mix, as many of you already know, and these are the perfect addition to the collection.
They’re whimsical and sophisticated at the same time, which I love.
The beautiful scalloped salad plates are also available with a blue edge – they’re so pretty – but I decided on the green, to have them pop against the gorgeous blue border of the dinner plates.
Having so many different pieces to work with gives a lot of opportunity to be as creative as you like.
I always love to play with pattern, you can see an example of one of my favorite tablescapes, where I used loads of pattern on pattern on pattern, somewhat similar to this table.
So many details to love! The woven placemats and napkin rings bring in the natural vibe that I am loving this season as well.
If you read my post last week on how to create a welcoming outdoor space, then you know I am loving anything woven this season.
I’m bringing in baskets and lanterns throughout our home this summer – anything with a woven texture – I absolutely love the combination with my blue and white pieces that I have throughout our home.
I love how they play against the blue and green pattern in the dishes and tablecloth – they provide the perfect amount of contrast by breaking up all of the pattern.
I’m also seriously over the moon with the beautiful cotton napkins that mimic the floral design of our new stunning tablecloth. The detail is incredible!
I love the colors and the delicate design is light and airy. They’re summery and fresh feeling, and there’s a vintage element about them that I just love.
The beautiful basketweave vases are also from the Aerin collection I have them in three sizes, but chose to use two on the table, together with my new ginger jar champagne bucket.
Easy, low maintenance floral arrangements and plants do the trick for a casually elegant centerpiece, and by the way, as I often do, I used faux hydrangeas in this mix.
You can read all about our favorite faux flowers to see how I love to style them throughout our home.
Real hydrangeas were unavailable everywhere I went the day I made my arrangements – living quite far from the city, we don’t have a flower market nearby and even Costco was all out of hydrangeas that day, which is unusual!
I had to be resourceful and throw in some of my favorite faux flowers to create this gorgeous arrangement – I think it turned out beautiful. Don’t be afraid of using faux!

How about a stunning ginger jar champagne bucket with a beautiful woven handle? One of these has been on my wish list for a long time now, and I am loving this piece so much – especially since it’s so multifunctional.
I talked a little bit about this in my patio post last week as well. I love the versatility and that I can use it for so many different things.
It makes a beautiful statement with flowers, don’t you think? It’s an investment piece that will last for years to come.
I’m also loving the green goblets and green glasses too. They are the perfect compliment to this summer tablescape.
I almost went with the blue version, but instead opted for green, to provide vibrant and refreshing contrast to the table. Aren’t they beautiful against the tablecloth?
When I set a table for guests, I love to mix and match, use pieces that tell a story and create a truly unique look that’s a reflection of my own, personal style. I hope you love this look as much as I do.
