NEW BATHROOM MIRRORS

NEW BATHROOM MIRRORSHaving a master ensuite bathroom is a luxury, not everyone has one, especially in a smaller home like ours. One of the decisions we made when we built our home, was to forego having a bathtub (I’m much more of a shower person!) and install a double vanity instead. This was definitely a must for me, I need my own space to get ready in the morning! When we built our home, we chose to install a vintage dresser as our vanity and have it retrofit with raised double sinks – which, unfortunately I never fully refinished, hence the shabby chic drawer fronts. I hope to change it for something with clean lines and a modern sensibility that we’ll ideally tackle in the coming months. For now, I want to share our new bathroom mirrors which we recently installed.
NEW BATHROOM MIRRORSThese are the venetian mirrors that we originally purchased for the space. I do love them, and they’re a beautiful compliment for the vanity. My husband, on the other hand, never liked them, so he was very happy when I asked him to install the pair of mirrors we recently removed from our living room. We had them hanging above the bookshelves and after years of deliberation, we decided to extend the shelves up to the ceiling – you can read all about that transformation here.
NEW BATHROOM MIRRORSI’m loving the new look and how much bigger and brighter our bathroom feels. I’m not quite sure at this point if I’ll keep these mirrors when we tackle our bathroom upgrade, but I’m loving the clean lines and modern aesthetic they bring to the space right now.NEW BATHROOM MIRRORSSince these are not as wide as the previous pair, I may add a small piece of art on the wall between the mirrors…I’m still debating!NEW BATHROOM MIRRORSI borrowed my orchid from the kitchen and I love it in here – I’m just not sure it would survive in here. I cannot keep plants alive and so far, I must commend myself on the fact that this is still thriving!NEW BATHROOM MIRRORS NEW BATHROOM MIRRORSI also recently bought this new greek key inspired tray, to hold my array of niceties. I love this new addition and the modern element it brings as well. If you’re looking for ideas on how to incorporate trays around your home, I have many more styling tips which I’ve shared in a recent post, Decorating With Trays – I promise you’ll be adding them all over the house!NEW BATHROOM MIRRORSI hope this marks the beginning of our bathroom transformation, we’ll see what the future holds. Along with a new vanity, I’d like to change the chandelier, wall sconces and paint color as well. I’m crossing my fingers that we can make it happen sooner than later! NEW BATHROOM MIRRORSI’d love to  know what you think and if you prefer the new mirrors or the old ones, leave me a comment below! xo

I love the look of your bathroom, and I love the venetian mirrors, but I think I liked the height of the mirrors you already had. Just my opinion. Your home is absolutely beautiful and my favorite is your kitchen. It is gorgeous! You are one talented lady and I so enjoy following your blog! Can not wait to see what you do next :)

Love the mirrors in there Tamara! I prefer the retangular shape to your previous ones. I don’t think you need to put anything between them, they look perfect! 👌🏻 I love repurposing!
