SIMPLE SUMMER DECOR IDEAS FOR YOUR ENTRYWAY
I’m kicking off summer today with my first official decorating post of the season. Our entryway is simply styled this year, and I can’t wait to share my summer decor ideas with you! My favorite color, blue and white, florals galore and a few key accessories are all I used to complete the look.
Welcome to our summer entryway and welcome to the Summer Home Tour 2022 hosted by Marty of A Stroll Thru Life – I love joining in on this tour each season, there is always so much incredible inspiration to draw from. If you’re visiting from Rachel’s beautiful home of This Is Our Bliss, welcome! Rachel has such gorgeous style doesn’t she?

If you’ve been reading with me for a while, then you know blue is a dominant color and theme throughout our home.
I’ve used more and more of this neutral color over the years, and I just can’t get enough of it…
The first summer decor idea that I want to share, is just that – use of color.
For me, it’s blue and every space in our home has a touch of this calming, neutral color in some way.
Blue water and blue skies are everything I love about summer and for our home, it is the perfect way to have a fresh coastal feel that speaks to the best season of the year.
You can do the same with whatever color speaks to you – green, yellow, coral, lavender, anything – add touches of your favorite tone around your home…the possibilities are endless.
I love to use my signature blue and whites that have also become more prominent throughout our home over the years…to say it’s an addiction for me is an understatement!
Which leads me to the second summer decor idea I want to share with you – incorporate a touch of blue and white.
Blue and white chinoiserie is a staple in our home year round, but it is truly the perfect touch to add for the summer months in any space – modern or traditional, it stands the test of time.
I love to create a bold statement with multiple blue and white pieces arranged together.
Using them this way adds a fresh pop of color, a nod to classic decor and always looks gorgeous with florals of any kind.
Here goes summer decor idea number three – make a bold statement with florals and go BIG!
Hydrangeas are another staple around here and this summer, I’ve added a few different kinds of stunning light green hydrangeas to my existing light blue ones that I styled throughout our home this passed spring.
Seriously – what’s not to love about a large, elegant arrangement that welcomes your guests?
You can achieve the look with just about any floral you love.
I typically use faux flowers, since they last forever.
With such a bold statement using flowers and multiple jars and containers this way, the rest of your styling should be simple and understated.
Summer styling tip number three – use clean-lined, simple accessories in your seasonal color to keep the look cohesive and tie it all together.
I used layered books in my color palette to create the look – they’re the perfect accessory in any vignette.
Lastly, for my final styling tip, I love to use organic, nature-inspired pieces that speak to the ocean and the earth.
Here, I used some favorite agate bookends (shop similar) and this stunning scented candle in a handmade bowl that emulates a large, beautiful seashell for me.

This space is one of my favorites in our home, it’s open and bright, and welcomes our guests with the prettiest blue faux grasscloth wallpaper.
We installed it last summer, and it was one of the best design decisions I’ve ever made!
It sets the tone for home, in color, mood and style – and for summer decorating it creates the perfect backdrop for my styling…and it looks amazing all year round!

I absolutely love the sawgrass wallpaper! I would never think to do it in a color, but the blue is stunning. I’m also a fan of transom windows and this allows more light throughout the rest of the house.
This blue entry makes me want to clear up any clutter I may have. It’s so clean and crisp! I agree with adding some organic and natural items. A good nice fresh scent always makes me feel at ease or at home.
Beautiful entry! Blue is always so clean and fresh! That wallpaper is dreamy!
Tamara, what a beautiful entry😍😍😍 I am loving that wallpaper especially, and I just painted my kitchen in a similar blue☺️ That texture is fabulous as is the rest of your styling☺️
Everything looks so crisp and fresh. I adore all of the lovely touches of blue and white. The pillows on the chairs are fabulous!
Your entryway is so beautiful! I love the colors and the styling!
Absolutely gorgeous! I love blue and white so, of course, your home is a favorite of mine. Great summer decor tips!
Tamara, your gorgeous blue and white entryway is just so perfect for summer! I always crush on that grasscloth wallpaper. The blue and green hydrangeas are the perfect summer touch. Happy to be touring with you again!!
Your foyer is stunning! From the wallpaper to all the blue and white, I could stare at it all day! Gorgeous!

Your home always feels so fresh, collected, and so very elegant! Love the soft blues and those hydrangeas!
Your entryway is absolutely gorgeous! I will live through you because I don’t have one and now I really wish I did. I am a lover of blue and you have picked the most beautiful shades for your home. The hydrangeas are stunning! I can’t wait for mine to bloom, I’m using faux right now. I will have to find some of the colors you have. I haven’t been able to find any. I did see the link you shared from Amazon. Is that where you got yours? Happy to be hopping with you this week.
I was going to comment and ask about your grasscloth wallpaper, but then I saw that you mentioned it in your post. I don’t think I’ve seen it in blue before and it looks amazing! My childhood home had grasscloth paper in our living room (my mom was ahead of her time, right?) and it’s such a great way to add texture. Your home is beautiful as always!
I’m loving your tips for summer decorating! Everything in your front entry is so fresh and just exudes summer, but I’ve got to say the wallpaper is the real star of the show. What a gorgeous space, any time of year! So happy to be touring with you this week. Happy summer!
Erica you are always the sweetest thank you so much my dear! Happy Summer! xo

Thanks Julia! They’re happy because they’re faux haha! Thanks my friend, happy summer! xox
Your hydrangeas!!! I’m so jealous, mine always look sad. Love your beautiful elegant home so much.
The entry to your home is just beautiful! You’ve done a wonderful job of paying attention to every single detail. What a special way to welcome visitors to your home. Absolutely love it.
I love your beautiful home and your soft blue and white is so classic and so elegant. Great tips for styling any home for any season. Your beautiful big floral arrangements are so eye-catching. I love large masses of flowers and your display is perfect. Thanks so much for joining the tour again this season, I love visiting your home.
Your home is the epitome of class, my friend. Sooo very beautiful!
