You may have already had the chance to visit my two previous Spring themed posts, featuring an Easter tablescape (here), and my Spring dining room, all decked out in blue and white (here) for a casual, global inspired gathering. Today I’ll be sharing my kitchen, living room and bedroom, with more of my signature blues punctuated throughout our home.

THE KITCHEN

Bright and airy kitchen with lantern style pendant lighting over the island. Let’s start off in the kitchen since I’ve been leading up to our new lighting for quite some time now. I know so many of you have been waiting to see them and I’m so happy to be sharing them today! You may recall, we had a single fixture hanging here, which I still absolutely love, but it was too small for this space. We moved it to our entrance where it fits the space perfectly. You can see how it looks here.

Bright and airy kitchen with lantern style pendant lighting over the island. We couldn’t love these new lights more – their scale is perfect and I absolutely LOVE having two fixtures in here. I was always so apprehensive of have more than one light with our living room so close by, and the double chandeliers in there. My worry was lighting overkill and I can tell you, I was dead wrong. What was I thinking?! I’ve been missing out all these years!

These fixtures are called Assembly Hall by Progress Lighting – they come in two sizes, this is the smaller of the two, and they’re quite large, which I love – I always like to go larger with my lighting when I can, it makes a big difference!Bright and airy kitchen with lantern style pendant lighting over the island.

My favorite element of these lights is the brass candle detail. The two-toned color is really beautiful, it brings an added dimension to our kitchen and matches our wall sconces perfectly.

I kept the Spring decor minimal in here, by just adding a few fresh touches throughout. Blue is my go-to, as many of you know, and although this shelf is typically all white and neutral, I decided to highlight it with some blue pieces.Bright and airy kitchen with blue and white accessories - add the perfect touch for the Spring and Summer seasons.Bright and airy kitchen with blue and white accessories - add the perfect touch for the Spring and Summer seasons.Bright and airy kitchen with blue and white accessories - add the perfect touch for the Spring and Summer seasons.Bright and airy kitchen with blue and white accessories - add the perfect touch for the Spring and Summer seasons.I love the vibrancy of lemons and limes, you can smell the citrus just looking at them.Add the perfect touch for the Spring and Summer seasons with vibrant lemons and limes in displayed in pretty bowls.Add the perfect touch for the Spring and Summer seasons with vibrant lemons and limes in displayed in pretty bowls.

I love to use faux flowers throughout the year as well, but I’m starting more and more to bring in fresh blooms every few weeks for a change. Hydrangeas are pretty easy to arrange and they last so long – I’m also eager for my own to bloom outside so I can have them in the house every week.Bright and airy kitchen with fresh produce and blue and white accessories - add the perfect touch for the Spring and Summer seasons.GET THE LOOK OF OUR KITCHEN :

THE LIVING ROOM

Layers of blues, fresh and faux florals, modern art and new textiles bring freshness to our home this Spring! In our living room, I kept many of my usual blue and white accessories, and added tall faux branches to highlight them. I have a few new things to share with you in this space as well, and I’m so happy with how it all came together. I am still waiting on our new lighting for this room and I’m dying  to get them installed – however they’re still on order, so we just have to wait! As soon as they are up, I’ll be sharing them. You can see what they look like in this post here.Layers of blues, fresh and faux florals, modern art and new textiles bring freshness to our home this Spring! The arrangement below was in dining room for my Easter tablescape post. I’ve been moving it everywhere and finally brought it into the living room to add some height to our ottoman.Bring freshness to your home this Spring with layers of beautiful blues, fresh and faux florals, and new modern art and textiles. Speaking of ottomans, do you see something new? If you’re a regular reader, then you know that I’ve recovered our living room ottoman twice in the past year. It’s such an easy thing to do, and it’s a great way to refresh a room. I’ve been searching for quite some time for the right fabric and this Eldon stripe fabric from Tonic Living is perfect for this piece. I wanted a neutral stripe with a little texture, for a more casual look. I love that it coordinates with my new pillows as well, the best part is that this can easily live into the Fall and Holiday seasons. You can find it here.Bring freshness to your home this Spring with layers of beautiful blues, fresh and faux florals, and new modern art and textiles.

First, I have to talk about this Java Batik Pillow in Indigo – my prayers have been answered! I’d been searching for this print in blue for a long time and I was so happy when I found it – it couldn’t be a more perfect compliment to the modern stripes. The Henderson stripe, below, in sky (find it here), with it’s boho flair, is such a beautiful shade of blue, and I love how it pops against the Eldon stripe in grey. They’re a perfect match to our blue lamps as well. I get really excited when things naturally come together! Our new pillows keep the feeling casual in here (we use this room daily), but they still have a sophisticated look and feel to them that I love. I also love how the soft blue sits against the grey in the center of this grouping, flanked by the bold blue of the two on each end. With the change of seasons, sometimes it can be challenging to bring newness without spending too much. I didn’t want to stray from my usual look, so I chose to build on it instead, by highlighting the color palette that I love so much.Bring freshness to your home this Spring with layers of beautiful blues, fresh and faux florals, and new modern art and textiles.

A great example of that are these branches – they’re perfect for my vases and frame this large-scale lantern beautifully. I love the height they bring to this space as well. I wish I could go outside and cut some to bring indoors, but we only have pine and maple trees here – unfortunately no blooms to be found around here just yet!Bring freshness to your home this Spring with layers of beautiful blues, fresh and faux florals, and new modern art and textiles. By now, you’ve obviously noticed our fabulous new artwork – another very exciting and STUNNING update in our living room. These pieces, called  Luke I and Luke II are by artist Christie Adelle – her work is amazing. They really could not be more perfect in our living room and I can’t get enough of the modern edge they bring to our more transitional living room.Bring freshness to your home this Spring with layers of beautiful blues, fresh and faux florals, and new modern art and textiles. THE MASTER BEDROOM

Gorgeous blue and white bedroom featuring blue and white bedding paired with global inspired textiles, grey upholstered bed and brass accents and lighting bring a bright and airy look to any bedroom. Now that Spring is officially here, I’ve switched from our grey bedding to this blue and white bedding, which we bought last year. We gave our bedroom a makeover last Spring, and went from a monochromatic grey on grey palette, to a vibrant and refreshing blue and white one. You can read about it here.Gorgeous blue and white bedroom featuring blue and white bedding paired with global inspired textiles, grey upholstered bed and brass accents and lighting bring a bright and airy look to any bedroom. To change it up a bit, I used these blue velvet pillows that were in the living room last Fall, and this global inspired blue and grey one that I recently showed in my Spring dining room tour. I dressed it up with a striped throw to bring in another layer and to bring some balance to the pillow.Layer your bed with small luxuries to create a true retreat - a gold mirrored tray and florals!
