FALL DECORATING : OUR NEW MASTER BEDROOM BEDDING

| |

I’ve been talking about our new master bedroom bedding for a couple of months now, and I’m so happy that today I can finally share it with you! It’s so different from anything we’ve previously had in our bedroom and we could not be happier with it. I love to change our bedding every couple of years for various reasons. First of all, since I’m an avid ‘seeker of new things’, basically I like to change up our look often. Secondly, I like to have fresh, new bedding – it always seems that after two or three years, it’s time to replace it for something crisp and new. So here we are, I think this may be our fourth new bedding set since we’ve lived here, and it may very well be my favorite one too.

The navy blue is as classic as it gets.

It was a beautiful silver, and I loved it as it was, however I had been torn about whether or not to paint it, since it was so pretty! But my soul was just begging me to paint it gold…so, I followed my gut, and I knew that if I brought my idea to fruition, it would complete the look I had envisioned. The gold ties everything together in the space, and brings balance to the room – definitely the right decision!Gorgeous Blue Fall master bedroom - A masculine meets glam look with navy blue, stripes, paisley ikat, greek key, leopard and gold - perfectly tailored and chic! Our new sheets are simple and classic, the navy pinstripe reinforces the tailored vibe and adds a masculine edge to the bedding. Don’t ask me how I ordered the wrong size, but I did, and we ended up swapping it with the living room rug, which we’re now using in here. I was so disappointed at first, I had my heart set on our new beauty for our bedroom, but as it turns out, I like to think of it as destiny…it was meant for the living room and this one works great in here too.Gorgeous Blue Fall master bedroom - A masculine meets glam look with navy blue, stripes, paisley ikat, greek key, leopard and gold - perfectly tailored and chic!It took me a while to get used to at first, but it’s grown on me, and I especially love how the light color helps to brighten our bedroom even more – it provides great contrast for our dark bedding. Truth be told : when I shot my home tour last week, I had it all styled (and still do), in the main living areas of our home, and only brought in my one little greek key plate, shown above. Looking back at these photos, I think I could have used a ginger jar or two in here!

  15. Wow! Beautiful! I love the masculine vs feminine vibe. I love the pattern mixing. The leopard is so on trend but still so classic and a bit unexpected. I follow a lot of fashion blogs too and you are really taking those fashion elements and applying them to this room.

What I like most is the fact that your eye can bounce from pattern to pattern and color to color with ease and the look is overall so interesting — nothing boring or average about it. It’s not a typical look that I’ve seen a million times. Referring back to the fashion reference– it’s like a navy with white piped blazer, plaid dress shirt, mustard midi skirt and leopard pumps. If that makes any sense! It’s late and I had back to back meetings after work today ? anyway– Awesome room!!

Hi Christina! I iron all of my duvet covers when I wash them. It takes a little extra time, but well worth it to keep it crisp looking. I’ve never bought a duvet cover that didn’t need to be ironed, plus I love the look :) No need to dry clean or starch! Just some patience! Thanks for stopping by today! xo

  24. Christina says:

HI there! Most of the reviews of that duvet say that it’s wrinkly. Yours does not look that way – how did you launder it? Do you take it to the dry cleaner and have them starch it?

  25. Girl I am loving the deep navy duvet and those pin striped sheets are everything??

  26. tamaraanka says:

Thank you Joni!! You are so so sweet! Of course I don’t mind! That’s why I do this, and I’m incredibly honored you think that! I’m so grateful for you!! Thank you thank you! xoxo
