BEAUTIFUL, EASY SPRING DECORATING

As you enter our living room, you’re welcomed by a full, gorgeous floral arrangement that sets the tone for the rest of our space. Lush, mixed faux stems in different shades of white and blue with touches of greenery create a stunning look that’s carried through to the rest of the arrangements in our living room as well.

I chose a soft, pretty color palette this season, of white, blue and green, which you’ll see layered throughout the space and our spring home as well.

I’m definitely ready for the temperature outside to catch up with the spring vibes inside of our home!

Pretty pillows are layered on our sofas in beautiful color and pattern, while thoughtful use of color on our bookshelves and ottoman pull everything together in our spring living room.

BEAUTIFUL SPRING BOOKSHELVES

Our bookshelves feature a symmetrical display, which is typically how I like to style them. If you’re here often, then you know I like to keep much of my decorating the same throughout the year, with just a few key seasonal elements to give a fresh look – I like to keep it simple for myself and for you!

The focus on our bookshelves this spring season is beautiful, easy decorating. On each side of our shelves, you’ll find a similar, almost identical display.
A mix of lush florals arranged our in gorgeous green ginger jars, styled with some of my favorite pieces – our chic banana palms ginger jars as well as smaller jars, which my beautiful Mama gave to me many years ago.

Each vignette acts as a focal point on the main shelf, which also flanks our television. I don’t have the exact same pieces or size jars on each side, but the look is relatively the same and helps to achieve a symmetrical look.

Symmetry can still be achieved in your space, even if you don’t have identical items. Keep the focus on color, scale and proportion of your grouping to achieve a similar look as much you can. You can see how I’ve approached this in the above and below close up shots, as well as the rest of our bookshelves.

I used three jars here – one green jar with florals (although they’re different sizes), one large jar and one smaller jar. I like to use the lids of ginger jars as a decorative piece as well – it adds more visual interest to a grouping and they’re too beautiful to put away!

I love how this simple styling looks in our home this spring. It’s light, crisp and fresh and truly beautiful.

The digital tv art above the fireplace is such a pretty addition as well, bringing all of the colors in this palette together, it truly complements our spring decor and completes the look in our space.

SPRING DECORATING IN OUR HOME

I always love the sightline across our home, from our living through to the front and toward the outdoors.

We live in a quiet, wooded neighborhood and the trees are always so gorgeous, any time of the year – especially when the sun streams in too!

Here are more closeup details of the florals I’ve used in our arrangements this spring. The combination of colors and different textures are so beautiful. These peony and hydrangea bushes in the above image have the prettiest mix of different flowers and are gorgeous with the peony bushes and light blue hydrangeas.

The faux peony bunches (they come four in a pack) are stunning as well. I love them mixed in with the contrast of the light blue hydrangeas, and it’s a truly gorgeous mix in my green printed ginger jar (similar).

The florals and green ginger jars along with our pillows are the perfect blend in our living room, without over doing it – easy spring decorating is what it’s all about!

A soft combination of blues, greens, florals and pattern help your eye wander from one element to the next throughout the space. It feels like a fresh spring morning in here and I truly love it!

You may have noticed our new drapery, which we love for spring as well. You’ll recognize the same border trim as in our dining room that featured bold blue drapes recently, which has the prettiest flourish detailing. The same treatments are also featured in our spring kitchen – you can see it on Instagram as well – stay tuned for more coming to CL Blog.

Now the only thing that we’re missing is the green grass and foliage outside…it will be here soon!

Thank you for touring with me today, I hope you’re inspired to bring beautiful, easy spring decorating to your home. Stay tuned for more spring decorating coming soon! xo

Hi, can you share the neutral beige paint color used? It is so lovely. Thanks.
