A TWILIGHT CHRISTMAS TOUR

|

night-living-room-christmas-treeIt’s Christmas Eve and just so hard to imagine how fast a year has gone by. Tomorrow is Christmas! The other morning, while having my much needed first cup of coffee, and after saying goodbye to my husband and son as they left for the day (my daughter was still asleep), I was suddenly taken aback by the quiet stillness of our home. The tree lights were shining, it was still dark as night and it struck me how beautiful and peaceful the moment was. Gratitude and peace were the only thing I felt. There’s something truly wonderful about the stillness and the quiet of this time, especially in the middle of the busiest season for all of us. Today I want to say thank you, and take you on a mini ‘walk’ – A Twilight Christmas Tour and leave you with something peaceful for the holidays.  The moment was magic and I want to share it with you!

It’s very easy to get caught up in the chaos of everyday life…many of us live a life that’s fuller than full, with all of our obligations and responsibilities, and with each passing week and month, it always amazes me when I look back at how quickly it’s passed. I’ve met phenomenal people and forged some of the most special friendships. I’ve found a voice through my blog that inspires others and allows me to be myself and open my home and creative spirit to all of you…I could not feel more blessed. nighttime-entryway-christmas-treeWhether you’re new here, or have been with me since I started this blog, thank you so very much, you have truly touched my heart!I want to thank you for being here, for taking time out of your busy lives to stop by and listen to what I am sharing with you. I appreciate each and every one of you, more than you know! I am so grateful for you!nightime-dining-room-christmas-treeYou’ll notice that the light is changing throughout my photos in this post, going from night to morning, and all of the stages of morning dawn, or twilight, in between. Shooting in the dark is a lengthy process and a lot of time passes between each shot! You’ll see, by the end of this post it’s daylight outside. It was fun to shoot this from dark to light and I’m happy you get to see it too. Enough talking for now, let’s just enjoy the magic together…dining-room-christmas-tree-nighttimechandelier-crystals-christmas-treeliving-room-night-christmasliving-room-night-christmas-treeflocked-christmas-tree-nighttime2 mirrored-bufet-living-room-christmas-tree flocked-christmas-tree-nighttimeflocked-christmas-tree-nighttime-living-room2 flocked-christmas-tree-nighttime-living-roomI wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for every single one of you, and I am so grateful knowing you are here. Someone else I am truly grateful for, is my dear friend Kelley Nan – she too is sharing a peek inside her nighttime home this Christmas, and if you truly want to see magic, Kelley’s home is exactly that! I met Kelley through Instagram and blogging last year, and we were so fortunate to meet in person this past summer. I certainly would not be doing this, or be where I am without Kelley. She inspires me every day and pushes me to be my very best, I cherish our friendship beyond words…Kelley thank you for your friendship! I know Kelley will inspire you too! Below is a peek into her beautiful home. Enjoy!

Wishing you all the Happiest Holidays this season and a very Merry Christmas! xoxo
