ENTRYWAY DECORATING IDEAS FOR SUMMER

| |

I’m very excited about today’s post! Our entryway has seen many updates over the last few years, and this summer is no exception! As many of you know already know, I love to find small ways to make a big impact throughout our home. Today, I’m sharing a few entryway decorating ideas that can help you do the same.

With just a few pieces, you can give your entryway a fresh new look for the season. I’ve brought in a crisp, coastal vibe with a fresh, blue and white palette (my favorite) accented with natural and woven elements, coral and agate. Welcome to our summer home!

I’d like to extend a very big thank you to Safavieh, Coterie Home and Lauren Haskell Designs for gifting product for our this space  Affiliate links are provided throughout this post  – see my full disclosure policy here.

ENTRYWAY DECORATING IDEAS – ADD WOVEN TEXTURES
Entryway decorated for summer with white and blue decor, woven jute rug and poufs.

One of the largest, impact-making changes in this space is our gorgeous new natural woven rug from Safavieh, which is part of their Natural Fibre Collection. It has a beautiful light, ivory tone, and I love the braided fringe detailing at the ends. It has thick, luxe, wool woven through in a ‘ribbed’ fashion that reminds of a casual-chic, summer sweater.

Paired with our gorgeous Hamilton console/desk from Lauren Haskell Designs, and accented with different blues, it’s the perfect way to say summer.Summer entryway with white and blue decor, natural jute rug and poufs, and white sunburst mirror.

I found this cute natural, light wood-toned tray at a local retailer, that has a beautiful woven texture on the inside, I just love this piece so much I bought two! It’s the perfect accent piece for our desk and compliments all of the natural elements in the space. I always love a good tray to coral beautiful objects! The round shape of this tray echoes my cute little round poufs…another coastal-influenced addition to our foyer.Gorgeous summer entryway decor with white blue and natural decor.

Someone recently asked me on Instagram why these are here, because they don’t seem functional. I’m a true believer in the Bauhaus ‘form follows function’ rule, but sometimes it is ok to break those rules! Besides, these ottomans can be used as accents for seating, side tables or a simple beautiful object just about anywhere. Entryway console table with ginger jars, coral and agate. KEEP THINGS BRIGHT + WHITE!

If you follow me on Instagram you may remember when I recently painted this mirror white. I’ve had it for about 10 years, and it used to be a darker wood finish, which I painted gold a few years back. It’s most recent transformation is by far my favorite!

I used white acrylic paint and just painted away. Two coats is all it needed to give this piece a new life. I chose to leave the inside rim of the center gold for a little added touch of glam.It makes a truly beautiful summer statement with our white desk and all of the natural touches and accents in shades of blue. It’s light and bright and brings that beach-inspired vibe up another notch!

COASTAL ACCENTS + GINGER JARS!

Coral, agate bookends, beautiful ginger jars – some of my very favorite things! I do use these year round in our home, and you already know I’m a ginger jar junky! I honestly believe I was meant to live by the coast because there is just something about a coastal home that sings to me.

You’ve seen these beautiful custom blue ginger jars from Lauren Haskell Designs in my summer living room (click here) and kitchen (click here), and well, they have found yet another perch to rest. The punchy blue against all the white is one of my favorite things about this space! I used a couple of of my favorite blue design books and beautful agate bookends to create a more substantial vignette that speaks to my summer theme.

On my new tray, some pretty coral sculptures in white and soft blues create a focal point on our desk. Did I mention I love this tray??

I can’t emphasize enough my lough for this combo for the summer months! You may have noticed that I brought in my floral pillows from our living room, to tie this look together with all of my summer colors. These pillows are beautiful on our blue chairs, and are such a gorgeous addition to my summer home. You can find these, and other beautiful pieces from Coterie Home.
