A BLUSH PINK BEDROOM MAKEOVER
Recently I shared some new lighting that we’re going to be installing in our home, and one of the new fixtures we’ve purchased is for our daughter’s bedroom. I don’t know if it’s the blogger in me always wanting to share new ideas, or the designer in me always wanting to try something new, but we’re going to be updating her room again this Spring, after we just did a mini makeover last year! I grew up with my mother constantly decorating and redecorating our home, and my bedroom was constantly evolving – I suppose it’s obvious where I get it from. So let’s talk more about what will be happening in here, a blush pink bedroom makeover. The mood board above has a lot of the products we’ve already purchased and I’m so eager to get this all finished.

Here’s the new light – fun, modern, fashion forward, I love it. You can see some other high/low options for this fixture in my recent lighting post here. You can also tell from this photo that, well, a lot of stuff has accumulated in one year! It’s time to purge…especially since this bedroom is small, it looks junky really fast! Keep scrolling to see some shots from last year’s reveal, as well as some of my favorite blush pink paint colors at the bottom of this post. You can see last year’s full bedroom tour here.We had a lot of pattern going on and we removed this rug quite a while back. She has her heart set on a faux fur rug, so I’m on the hunt for one. Below are a few that I’ve sourced so far. The bed is now on the side of the room, but we may be moving it back to the middle.

The gallery wall that you see here, is staying. These are all my own drawings and typography prints, and our daughter loves them. We love the injection of all the color and since she loves fashion as much as I do, it speaks to who she is as an individual. This turquoise desk, which has traveled to many homes and has seen many transformations, is going. We’re excited for the new, sleek and functional one you saw above in the mood board. The coral garden stools, along with all of the coral touches are staying. We really love this blush and coral color palette, especially with brass details – its fresh and feminine yet still bold and charismatic – a lot like our daughter!
The moroccan pouf will also stay, another gold accent that we love with this color palette. Below are some of our favorite Benjamin Moore blush paint colors. We want the palest hue as possible, with a hint of color. You’ll notice that some of these lean toward a peach tone even. I think we’ll be narrowing down our selection and testing three or four of them to see which works best in her bedroom.
Tell me what you think of our mini makeover that’s coming – leave me a comment below, I always love to hear from everyone! We can’t wait for some warmer weather to open the windows and get this done! I’ll be back in a little while with the full reveal…xo
