SUNBURST MIRROR ROUNDUP AND GETTING READY FOR FALL
Fall is around the corner and as I’m starting to prep for my upcoming Fall Home Tour next month, I’ve been doing a little bit of shopping for our bedroom. Most of you already know that I change our bedding for the Fall season and then again in the Spring. I had decided it was time to find something new for the season but I’ll come back to that a little later in the post. Right now, I want to share my newest purchase – this gorgeous sunburst mirror that I just scored last weekend. We’ve had the same mirror hanging over our bed for years, which I’ve always loved, but when I found this one, I fell in love even more. Below is a look back to our bedroom from last Fall and Winter – I love this grey bedding for many reasons, but I think many of you know me by now, and probably know that I’m ready for a change. 
I’ve always purchased new bedding every couple of years and as I mentioned earlier, I swap it out twice a year for newness and to change things up a little bit. Notice the previous mirror while we’re here, and you can see how much more substantial the new one is. I’m in love…
I had been looking for a gold mirror for this room, because I absolutely love the combination of the cool blue walls and warm metals. I admit I wasn’t quite sure about this one at first, because I could only find it in silver. It was one of those HomeSense finds where if I had put it down, it may have disappeared so naturally I had to have it. You all know what I’m talking about!
I do love the silver tone of this one – it’s a slightly warm silver, which I do really love – but I think I may have to get out my paint brush and give it a gilded look.

I love sunburst mirrors – or starburst as some say – for so many reasons. I’ve always loved the way they look hanging over the bed, as many people do. They’re chic, classic, elegant and there are so many different styles available from sleek and contemporary to ornate and detailed.
In case you’re wondering, I don’t drink tea or eat cookies in our bedroom! This is just for styling… It is cute though, don’t you think?

Where is the white/blue comforter from in the picture. I love it and can’t find it online. Also, do not know what the paint color (Gray) is for the walls? Love this room!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE to mix metals and I completely agree that it works! THat’s why I’m so torn…but something about gold always steals my heart! I think this one will just pop of I go for it, but I know leaving it is just as gorgeous. SO happy you like the bedding too! I’m very eager to get it on and see how I like it, it’s so different! Personally I prefer mixing the metals, so what you have now looks great (IMO) with your other fixtures. It’s a fashion trend right now, and I enjoy seeing mixed metals used in wearing and creating jewelry. Can’t wait to see how your new bedding choices look together. However, I really love the blue and white that you’re using now. It’s light and fresh looking.
