OUTDOOR SUMMER TABLESCAPE IN BLUE AND GREEN WITH LUSH HYDRANGEAS

Today, I’m finally sharing my outdoor summer tablescape with you – I can’t believe how fast the summer has flown and we’re already near the end of August. I’m finally starting to get organized with my fall decorating which I’ll be sharing a peek of very soon, but for now, we’re still embracing this gorgeous time of year. I love summer so much and wish it could last forever! Our summers are so short here where we live, we try to soak up every last drop of outdoor living that we can. We love to entertain in our backyard, we eat al fresco as often as we can, we sit poolside as much as possible and enjoy every minute it of. When August comes around, the mornings and nights start to get chilly, but that doesn’t stop us from enjoying our favorite space to live at this time of year. I’m so happy to finally share this gorgeous blue and green tablescape with some of my favorite entertaining pieces. It’s simple, chic and layered – it doesn’t have to be fancy or too precious – only beautiful! I hope you enjoy.

OUTDOOR SUMMER TABLESCAPE

When we’re entertaining outside I always love to create a beautiful tablescape for our friends and family. You’l always find layers of pattern, color and texture, and beautiful pieces that create a chic, personal look with things that I truly love.

It always makes guests feel special when you take the time to create a beautiful table that welcomes them.

Last summer, I shared this beautiful tablescape – also dressed in layers of intricate block print patterns and rich color. It’s one of my favorite looks and I’m often using the same pieces to dress my table – some you’ll find here today.

This summer, my tablescape has a similar feel with beautiful pattern and color, but this time it’s all about blue and green linens and a lush hydrangea centerpiece that steals the show.

I found two different sets of beautiful gold and glass hurricane lanterns (similar ones are linked) at HomeSense – you’ll see I’ve used them both in my shots today, as I started with one pair then switched to the second, larger pair – my tablescape needed more visual weight – and I just love their oversized scale. Either way, they’re both beautiful and I love them!

I also bought beautiful hydrangeas from Costco and their colors make up the perfect palette to pull everything together on my outdoor summer tablescape.

I arranged them in one of my gorgeous blue and white champagne buckets – it’s such a classic piece and so versatile. My favorite detail is the gorgeous woven handle. I have two and use them for so many things, they’re a small investment but worth it!

I also recently bought these gorgeous blue outdoor dishes that provide the most beautiful pop of color against my woven chargers. They’re so vibrant and I always love anything with a bamboo motif.

Layered atop my gorgeous green block print tablecloth, coordinating block print napkins and napkin rings, the colors and textures just make my heart sing.

Green wine glasses and tumbler glasses along with my favorite gold bamboo flatware complete my tablescape and help to pull everything together.

Blue and green is my favorite color combination – it’s says quintessential summer to me! If you’re new around here, I think you’ll also love this chic blue and green summer tablescape from a few years ago – another one of my favorites with some of the same items used here today as well.

I kept my tablescape very simple, it was very easy to create in just a few minutes.

This view above, that looks toward our gazebo from our pool, is my favorite and is always so beautiful as the sun peers through the trees at the end of the afternoon. You can get a good sense of the flow of our backyard and how one area leads to another.

The opposite view is also a favorite – I love how the color palette of my outdoor summer tablescape echoes our entire outdoor space. Gorgeous blues from our pool, our furniture and sky with the lush greenery that surrounds us.
