OUR CLASSIC CHRISTMAS KITCHEN

|

Welcome to our classic Christmas kitchen! I’m a little late bringing you the rest of our Christmas home, but better late than never! Our Classic Christmas kitchen is styled similar to the last couple of years, with a gorgeous, lush greenery arrangement on our island, a festive wreath hanging on our range hood, wreaths hanging on our cabinets with ribbon and bows, and pretty little Christmas details sprinkled throughout. You’ll find classic and elegant touches around our space, that fill our kitchen with Christmas cheer. If you visited our Christmas living room or Christmas entryway, you’ll see the same theme continue in this space as well today – mixed plaids, velvet, toile, chinoiserie and Christmas greenery of course. I love our home to have a consistent, cohesive flow throughout, from one room to the next. It creates a strong visual look and tells a very chic holiday story! Come into the heart of our home and take the tour with me!

OUR CLASSIC CHRISTMAS KITCHEN

This year, our classic Christmas kitchen feels chic, festive and elegant, wrapped up with my favorite blue and white pieces throughout, accessorized in timeless plaid.

You’ll notice we have new roman shades in here, that coordinate with our new living room drapes that we installed for Christmas as well.

These shades are the same shades that were featured in our summer kitchen and fall kitchen, but with a gorgeous navy blue greek key trim detail.

They’re beautiful in our Christmas kitchen and our home, and are perfect with this year’s holiday theme.

The look of our new shades are so beautiful over here by our sink as well, especially with our wreaths and layers of ribbon that dress up our cabinets.

I’ve used the same ribbon combination that you’ve already seen on our Christmas tree, mantel garland and entryway garland.

These cute little Christmas tree tea towels from Cailini Coastal are the perfect finishing detail on our sink, adding another layer of visual interest on this side of our kitchen, where everything is symmetrically styled.

I borrowed my small greenery arrangements from our living room bookshelves and styled them in here with my lamps for these photos. They’re the perfect size and shape for this spot – I wish I had two more so I could keep them here!

OUR KITCHEN ISLAND STYLED FOR CHRISTMAS

You know how much I always love an oversized arrangement – I know I am always repeating myself – but it’s so important that florals and greenery make a statement!

Our island is dressed up with a collection of favorite things – nothing here is new, except for this year’s plaid ribbon and some of the greenery and berry picks that I’ve used to create my arrangement.

One of my favorite Christmas houses that twinkles when it’s lit up, vintage candleholders, a festive scented candle, a blue and white lidded jar that I’ve had for years and my oversized ginger jar that holds my arrangement.

Chic, pretty details that help to tell the story of a timeless, classic Christmas in our kitchen!

Our barstools are dressed up with elegant gold ornaments, tied up with simple plaid ribbon in pretty bows – another detail you’ll find sprinkled throughout our home this Christmas.

CHRISTMAS DECORATING AROUND OUR STOVE

Our stove is flanked with a pair of gorgeous new ginger jars that I absolutely love! They’re the perfect scale for this space and I love the floral and bird motifs – so chic and beautiful!

Again, more pretty plaid bows that finish the look. I can never have enough ribbon and bows for Christmas!

To add another layer of color in this area of the ktichen, I used the same plaid napkins from my Christmas tablescape that I shared a while ago, to hang on the oven door – the classic red plaid matches my ribbon perfectly.

Using napkins is a great way to add color and pattern to your kitchen, without having to buy new towels.

Our wreath on the range hood is dressed the same as in our living room, with an elegant, timeless toile bow – a piece you’ve seen on repeat throughout our home this Christmas.

Our blue and white planters filled with topiaries and red berries are another layer on our countertops that help to add more festive touches to our space, and flank this wall’s holiday symmetrical display.

I always love to use symmetry throughout our home whenever I can – you’ll see that I’ve used it here, in our classic Christmas kitchen on the two main walls as well.

Symmetry is always pleasing to the eye and creates calm and order in ay space and is an integral part of classic design and decorating.

Thank you for touring our classic Christmas kitchen with me today – I hope you loved all the layers of plaid , greenery, chinoiserie and toile and that you’re inspired and having fun decorating for Christmas! xo
