Delicious and moist, this pumkin bread recipe is simple to make and so yummy! Glaze is optional, see recipe notes below.

  • 1 1/2 Cups Sugar
  • 1 1/4 Cups Flour
  • 1 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 3/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Cup Pure Pumpkin Puree Make sure it is pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling!
  • 1/2 Cup Oil I like to use avocado oil, but you can use any vegetable oil
  • 1/3 Cup Water
  • 2 Eggs


  1. Preheat oven to 350F degress

  2. Combine dry ingredients and mix well

  3. Add wet ingredients

  4. Mix everything together in a stand mixer or hand mixer

  5. Pour into greased loaf pan

  6. Bake for 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted in the center comes our almost clean

  7. Cool to room temperature

  8. Carefully remove from pan and place on platter

  9. If using the glaze (see notes below) pour over loaf and let set until it is hard to the touch

  10. Cut into slices and serve

Recipe Notes


Simply mix some confectioner's sugar in a bowl with a little bit of milk at a time until you get your desired consistency. You want it be able to pour it on top of your loaf, not have to spread it. It should not be too runny or too thick.
