ELEGANT CHRISTMAS KITCHEN DECORATING: GOLD, SILVER + WHITE

| |

Today kicks off my first official Christmas decorating post! Christmas is only a month away! So hard to believe…now is the time to gather your Holiday ideas if you haven’t started decorating yet! Today I’m sharing my elegant Christmas kitchen decorating in gold, silver and white – a neutral palette that will shine no matter what your decorating style is.

Before I started blogging, I would often change up my tree a little each year, so I’ve been collecting holiday decorations for a very long time. I’ve always loved to use silver and gold, and blues and greens. Since becoming a blogger, I switch things up even more each year, but I often fall back on my tried and true colors that I love so much.

We’re headed to Florida tomorrow for Thanksgiving, so I’m very happy that upon our return, my holiday decorating is checked off the list! For those of you who’ll be celebrating this week as well, Happy Thanksgiving!

For those of you who are ready to kick off Christmas now – I hope you’re inspired today and that you love our Christmas kitchen as much as I do!

ELEGANT CHRISTMAS KITCHEN DECORATING!Elegant Christmas kitchen decorating with gold, silver and white.

Welcome to our elegant Christmas kitchen, where you’ll find gold, silver and white accents to compliment all of the brass details that we’ve added over the last couple of years in our home.

Last year’s Christmas kitchen was filled with silver and gold as well, but mixed with greenery and my favorite  blue and white – see it here for more inspiration!

If you’ve been following along with me for a while, then you know my blue and white ginger jars and accents are usually prevalent throughout our home.

This Christmas, I wanted to take a step back from my signature colors in this space (you’ll still find some in our living room, coming soon!) and create more of a soothing palette.
First thing I set out for, was a neutral-hued rug, and this one I found for a steal, was the perfect fit.

I love the earthy colors and the vintage-inspired feel. It brings a sophisticated feel to our Christmas kitchen, and I love how it dresses up the space. The size is 4 x 6′ for your reference.

I also knew I wanted to add more white pieces this Christmas season and our new white ginger jars from Lauren Haskell Designs (which you’ve seen in my fall dining room, here, and my fall entryway, here) are just gorgeous in our space.I dressed them up with beautiful satin ribbon and these gorgeous mercury glass snowflake ornaments from Balsam Hill from a few years back.

You’ll find another pair of white ginger jars flanking our range, along with some gold mercury glass trees, white and silver trees, and my gorgeous new gold statement wreath – which was another fabulous steal.

It’s from HomeSense, and unfortunately I can’t link the exact one for you, but you can shop similar ones linked below! You’ll find another one hanging on our front door, which I’ll also be sharing on the blog soon.

I love all of the beautiful, sparkly details and how they compliment the wreath and my brass hardware.

What I love most about this wreath is the lush, full look it has, and how it makes a bold, yet very sophisticated statement in our elegant Christmas kitchen.

It compliments our barstools beautifully too – which I might paint white next year!
I bought a pair that were originally intended for the windows on this wall, but when I tried it leaning up on our range hood, I was smitten.

SO chic, and the star of our space this year. It definitely helps play up my elegant Christmas kitchen decorating this season.

I dressed up our range with a beautiful brass and acrylic tray, accessorized with one of my cake stands filled with ornaments, a mercury glass candle and these elegant little 22 karat gold painted trees, also from Lauren Haskell Designs.

I don’t decorate my stove every day – this is here for my photos, and it’s a great way to dress up your kitchen for a party when you know you won’t be cooking. Never enough sparkle!

On our open shelving over in the corner I kept things clean and simple – these shelves can look overwhelming and cluttered if styled with too many pieces – even with minimal decor, because it’s quite large.

I kept it mostly white and glass, with a few muted tones and metallic touches. Elegant Christmas kitchen shelf styling ideas.Elegant Christmas kitchen shelf styling ideas.

For the last couple of years, I’ve hung mini wreaths on the back of our barstools, but this year, I went with simple mercury glass ornaments tied with satin ribbon.

Lesson learned, not the best idea in a high traffic area.

Two of them have since broken, so I’ll be using something different next year!

On our island, I gathered a collection of sparkled beauties on my tray – some of my favorite bejewelled cone-shaped Christmas trees (these are all from HomeSense but more are linked below!), arranged with candles and more trays for a layered look.

I hope you enjoyed this and found some ideas for your elegant Christmas kitchen decorating this year. I’ll be sharing the rest of our home over the next few weeks so stay tuned for more Christmas inspiration! Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving, and also very Happy Christmas decorating! xo

Hi! They’re ivory – unfortunately I don’t have an actual color name, when we built our home 13 years ago it was the only ivory choice they had!

Hi Nancy! Thank you so much, I appreciate it so much, and I’m thrilled you’re inspired! I don’t have a specific post about the cabinets, no. But I have many different posts – just search ‘kitchen’ – it’s gone through many small updates over the years! Hope that helps! xo

Jill, thank you very much! I love that you love the trees, I love them too! I a tempted to paint the chairs…I know I’m bad haha, always looking for a new project! Maybe I’ll wait! Merry Christmas!! xo

  8. Beautiful beautiful! My favorite is the round tray with trees on the island. I really love how the black cabinetry of the island brings a nice balance to all of the creamy whites and gold. The barstools are perfect, I think you should leave them as is but I know how tempting it is to change things up. Gorgeous, looking forward to seeing the rest of the house!
