PARADE OF CHRISTMAS TREES 2016

| |

bh-collage2Welcome to the Parade of Christmas Trees 2016, featuring Balsam Hill. I’m thrilled to be joining some of my dearest blogging friends, Kelley Nan of Kelley Nan, Jennifer of Decor Gold Designs and Randi of Randi Garrett Design on this holiday decorating tour! Today we’ll each be sharing two trees that we’ve selected within a collection from Balsam Hill, both of which are outfitted with Balsam Hill decorations, each with it’s own distinctive theme. If you’re coming over from Decor Gold Designs  I know you’ve just been completely spoiled by her amazing talent and attention to detail! The tree I’ve chosen to feature in my home is the Sonoma Pencil Christmas Tree – one in our dining room and the other in our master bedroom. Although the trees are the same style, they each feature decorations from different collections (which are quite exquisite I must say!) and the lights each feature different technology as well. citrineliving_bh_tree-collageAbove are my two Sonoma Pencil Trees which, by the way, are the perfect size for a small space. We have an open concept home, so I don’t have a lot of wall space on top of having a smaller footprint. This is the 7′ tree and our ceilings are 9′ tall in these rooms, so the proportions are perfect for the height of these spaces. They also fit just right tucked into these corners. The left tree is in our bedroom, and features Balsam Hill’s premium energy-saving LED lights. They beauty of the LED’s is that they never burn out and the best part about them, is they provide a warm glow, similar to that of candlelight, not a cold color, which can be common with LED Christmas lights. On the right in our dining room, this tree features classic clear lights – a timeless look for the Christmas season – a choice that you can never go wrong with!

Come on in and have a closer look at how I chose to decorate my two Sonoma Pencil trees.
balsam-hill-pencil-tree-blue-silver2I borrowed a few of my blue and white ceramic pieces from other rooms and gathered them around the base of the tree. I used my collection as a dominant element in our Christmas decor last year – which you can view here.
balsam-hill-pencil-tree-blue-silver12I love how it all dresses up this corner of the bedroom. Typically, I don’t decorate in here for the holidays, but this tree allows me to do so effortlessly. The installation is a cinch and takes very little time set up….I’m all for things that don’t take a lot of time!balsam-hill-pencil-tree-blue-silver4The scale is just perfect in our bedroom as well.balsam-hill-pencil-tree-blue-silver6I love to mix different blues together and these classic jars go just about anywhere you put them. As you may know, blue and white is a favorite of mine – you can read all about my love for this color combination here.balsam-hill-pencil-tree-blue-silver8This tree uses a combination of my own blue ornaments, silver ribbon, tree picks, garland and silver pinecones. I chose the French Country Ornament Setin heavy silver mercury glass, to compliment all of the cool tones of this tree theme. balsam-hill-pencil-tree-blue-silver9I used two sets of 12 from this collection, in the crackle finish, to dress this tree.

Next we’ll move down the hall to our dining room, which is open to the entry and main living area of our home. Remember we have an open concept home with very little wall space, and I honestly don’t think I could have chosen a better spot for this tree. It’s a perfect fit in our small dining room.

With an assortment of teardrops, balls and finials, I was able to perfectly dress this tree with one set of 35 ornaments and two sets of 4 snowflake ornaments. I mixed these with a few of my own finial ornaments, tree picks and ribbon.balsam-hill-silver-gold-ornaments8The snowflake set has both silver and gold mercury glass and they are so beautiful! They were the first package I opened and I was so excited when I saw these…I knew this look would be perfect in this space. balsam-hill-snowflake-ornamentbalsam-hill-snowflake-ornament2The variation in style and shape of this collection adds so much character to our tree, and is such an elegant and rich look.balsam-hill-silver-gold-ornaments7I love all how glamorous yet understated and sophisticated it all feels.balsam-hill-silver-gold-ornaments6balsam-hill-silver-gold-ornaments5balsam-hill-silver-gold-ornaments3 balsam-hill-silver-gold-ornaments4If you know me, you know I love my metallics, and I love to mix them even more…this collection does that perfectly.balsam-hill-silver-gold-ornaments2 balsam-hill-silver-gold-ornaments
