MARBLE SHOWER FLOOR

|

marble shower floorOur bathroom shower is finally all finished and we couldn’t be happier with our marble shower floor.

If you missed the reason we had to have our floor redone, it kept leaking and we had to have everything on the floor ripped out.

You can read all about it HERE. We chose a herringbone marble tile which,  is elegant, classic and has the modern edge that I was looking for.

Our Marble Shower Floor – Glass Door Installation, Before and After

marble shower floor glass door installation Here’s a look before the glass was reinstalled. Sorry about the lighting,

I took shots on different days so there are some differences here!marble shower floor close up Here’s a closeup. We opted for a marble sill as well. Previously the sill were floor tiles and it was very hard to clean.

The marble slab is much more sleek, easier to clean and adds a richness to the whole look.

For an extra $200, it’s a worthwhile upgrade.marble shower floor upgrade Not the greatest photo, but seriously, how gorgeous is this?gorgeous marble shower floorclean marble shower floorshower glass door installation Here it is finished with the glass installed.

Believe it or not, the glass has to be fixed again because there was a little glitch in the installation.

So we’ll be having that corrected in the coming week or so.glass shower door I don’t actually shower with the stool in here, but it looked great for styling!glass shower door closeup This is where the stool usually is – I always sit and do my nails here.newly installed shower doormarble shower glass door Here’s the other angle. I have a lot of gold touches in here,

I love to mix metals and the white, marble accents and chrome fixtures are a beautiful contrast to the gold.marble shower floor So this was a quick post with some update pics, short and sweet. We’re very happy with our marble shower floor choice.

The previous floor was a mini white subway tile and it was a challenge to keep clean. I love the feel of the marble underfoot and the look is exactly what I wanted.

We still have a few things to finish in this space, some crown molding at the top of the shower and I have plans to eventually replace the vanity, which is an old dresser that I never finished painting.

One day we’ll get it all done!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like the finished results as much as we do! Happy weekend! xo

Happy Valentines Day my friend. It is frigid here in Chicago, so I will be staying in the house today. Actually getting ready to wrap my cast in a hefty bag with tape and get in the shower. Love the way yours turned out, classic and elegant (like everything else you do), enjoy the day.

Hi! Thank you so much for visiting and taking the time to read! It makes me so happy knowing that my Instagram account is inspirational to you and that the blog is helpful and informative! Thank you so much for your kinds words and support! Ar as the floor being slippery, no it’s not at all. It’s a polished stone but because the tiles are so small, it creates enough texture to prevent slippage. I absolutely love this tile choice. I hope this helps! Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your family as well :) xo

  13. It looks beautiful, your bathroom is beautiful especially with the mix of metals. One question what is the floor like as far as being slippery. I’ve read that some folks use a honed stone. I worry that with using conditioner other slippery bath products I’m going to take a tumble. A new shower is in our future, I appreciate these shower posts I’ve learned so much from your experience. Love your blog and Instagram posts so glad I found your blog. Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your family.

  14. I love how it turned out!! Gorgeous! And, I have never seen the angle of your gold touches. Just awesome, Tam!!
