LIGHTING UPDATES AND HIGH-LOW OPTIONS

|

It’s March! And Spring is finally on the way, and even though we still have nothing but snow everywhere, it’s just around the corner. I’m so excited to share our new lighting updates and high-low options that I’ve sourced for you. I think you’ll love the ones we’ve chosen for our home, and whether your budget is big or small, I’ve rounded up some beautiful variations on them. Below are our new fixtures, I can’t wait to get them all installed so I can share how they look in our home.I love to update lights – lamps, chandeliers, pedants, you name it. I usually try to stick to reasonably priced lighting for this reason. I’ve already made updates this past year, in the dining room (here), master bedroom (here) and front porch (here), all of which you may have already seen. Since I’m always on a quest to improve our home, we’ll be installing new lighting in the living room and kitchen. Our daughter’s bedroom, which will be getting another mini makeover this Spring, already has hers up, and it looks so good! I’m often sharing different ways you can give a room a new feeling with some simple, inexpensive (or free!) updates. You can see how I did this in my two last posts about our kitchen, here, and entryway, here.

 SHOP OUR NEW LIGHTS :

Can you imagine what our living room will look like with the new lighting? I wanted a more tailored and sophisticated look in here and as much as I love these rustic wine barrel chandeliers, it’s time for something new. They’ll be a little less prominent in the space and they coordinate beautifully with our bookshelf lighting as well.Next month,I’ll be sharing my full Spring tour with you. I don’t plan on huge changes, as usual, but our lights will be in, and we’ll have some new pillows and fabric for our ottoman – it’s time to recover this piece again! You can see the last transformation of this piece here. With the new fabrics I have coming, along with the light, I’m so eager to have a lighter look and feel in our living room. Below are some beautiful high-low styles – you can click the small thumbnail below the large image to shop any of these. Our new lights are the ‘fab deal’ and would be perfect in a dining room or bedroom too.  Make sure to click at the bottom of the thumbnail to shop!

SHOP HIGH-LOW DRUM SHADES :

What do you think of the new light in here? I love it so much and so does our daughter – she was thrilled when I found this for her. You may remember last Spring when we updated this room, from a bold and vibrant Kelly green, to a refreshing and invigorating pastel teal (the color is Refreshing Teal by Benjamin Moore) – read all about it here if you missed it. Well, we’re back at it again and we’re making some small, inexpensive updates. I’ve already bought new bedding  – you’ll have to wait for the reveal to see it – and the light. She’ll finally be getting a new desk, and we’re going to be painting the walls a blush pink. Stay tuned on an upcoming post where I’ll be sharing all of the details and a mood board. Take a look at some gorgeous high-low options below – the one we have is almost exactly the same as the ‘fab deal’, but any of these would be gorgeous…I wish I could afford that splurge!

SHOP HIGH-LOW SPUTNIK CHANDELIERS :

You saw this shot in my last post, but I’m sharing it again today because it gives you a good perspective on how the new lights will look. I decided to go ahead and add a second fixture – to add more dimension to the space and balance out the scale and visual weight of the island. We went with one light originally in here for budget reasons (thankfully my hubby is handy and can do this update himself), and I always felt this room was too close to the living room – I didn’t want so many lights in such close proximity to each other. That being said, this new lantern is open and airy and I think two will compliment the island and the kitchen beautifully. I love the two-tone color and they will also compliment the new living room drum chandeliers, and their two-tone color as well. I’m very excited! Again, have a look below at the high-low options I’ve sourced for you. The ones we’re getting are the ‘steal’, and will look gorgeous in an entryway or hallway.

SHOP HIGH-LOW LANTERNS :

Tell me what you think of our new choices, I’d love to hear from you! I can’t wait to see these get installed, or for the new changes we have coming – there’s a few more I haven’t told you about yet – change and Spring are definitely in the air! xo
