FAVORITE GARDEN STOOL ROUNDUP

| |

If you’ve been a long time reader and if you follow me on Instagram and Pinterest, then you have most definitely noticed the abundance of garden stools in our home. I love them, and, well, I’m addicted to them. I have been very good however, I haven’t purchased a new one in a long time. If you’ve been reading along with me for a while, then you also know about my love for blue and white. Believe it or not, taking these two passions into account, I actually don’t own ANY blue and white stools. My mother has a pair that I’ve been coveting for years, but it’s not happening, I can’t convince her to let me have them, if my sisters have anything do to with it, anyway! I think I’m overdue for some new ones to add to my collection (13 and counting…maybe 14…I don’t even remember!), I’ve decided that you need some of these also, and if you don’t have any, or don’t know where to start, I’ve put together my favorite garden stool roudup as  a starting point for you. You guessed correctly, blue and white will be the next ones on my list – I’m debating between numbers 10 and 12 from my roundup list. I’ve written and talked about them in other posts, and I dedicated a post to them a couple of years ago, but I wanted to share this roundup with you, and they’re all really well priced! Keep reading below, I’m also sharing some shots from previous posts so you can see how I love to use these pieces in our home, indoors and out.

Pictured above in these shots from my Valentine’s Day tablescape (see it here), I have this stool tucked into the corner as I often do. They’re perfect for showcasing a floral arrangement, vase, bowl, books, you name it.
I my recent post about styling our console table four ways (read it here), this classic white stool fills this corner perfectly. As you know, like all of my accessories, I’m constantly moving my stools all over for different purposes and uses. This is from my Fall Home tour last year and while it showcased that cute little pumpkin for my photoshoot, we often use them to set down drinks. You can visit my Fall tour here.I borrowed this blue and white beauty from my mother for this shoot…I had to give them back unfortunately, which is why I desperately need to buy my own!I have a collection I use outdoors as well – perfect for drinks, plants, extra pillows, seating, etc…You can see more of our patio here and here.I’ll be doing a big patio makeover this Summer, and now that the snow is finally gone, I can’t wait to get started! We’ll be adding on a deck, to the right side of the patio (facing the house), which will extend our outdoor living space. I’m getting all new furniture and accessories from a fabulous brand that I’m partnering with, so make sure to keep your eyes open for this one, it will be fantastic!!I have two gold stools, in different shapes. The one above is hexagonal. I use it in here with my recent magazines stacked on it, flowers if I have a fresh bouquet, or to put shoes on as well.Ok this one was only for photo purposes, I won’t lie! I needed it to break up all the dark at the bottom of the shot! But I do love the white in here as an alternative to the gold…see more of my Spring home tour here.
You saw these stools out on the patio, and they were indeed used in here during the Winter, when our bedroom used to be arranged and decorated this way, you can visit this bedroom tour here. This coral pair in our daughter’s room is used as chairs while she works at her desk and also a stepping stool for her closet. I recently shared my plans for this bedroom’s mini makeover, so stay tuned for that one as well! See the moodboard of the new look here.I rarely share our son’s bedroom, and I have once or twice before. This stool in peacock blue is made of wood – I think it may have been my first stool purchase – I love it with his wall color, Ralph Lauren Blue Lagoon. No, I don’t keep the stool in the shower, but it was super cute for this shot! I do keep my other gold stool on the opposite side of the glass, and I pull it up to the counter to do my nails all the time. So, it’s a beautiful and functional piece. Oh, and there’s a bathroom makeover coming your way soon as well! I’m so excited about this one and can’t wait to share the details a little later :) Lots of new things coming!

That’s my roundup and recap of how we use our stools around our home, I hope you found it useful and informative. If you’re in the market for some stools,   you will be so happy you took the plunge. For a very small investment, they serve multiple uses and they will add instant style to any space. Trust me on this! Thank so much for reading! xo

  6. Hi Tamara

I too have a stool obsession, along with too many other obsessions! Just wanted to give a good little tip regarding them (learned this by trial and error),. When you purchase them for indoors, especially for bathrooms with marble or porcelain tile, add your own felt to the bottom. Otherwise they can (and will!) scratch your flooring.

    Great post, thank you.
